Hi Paws - I found this - not sure if you find it useful or not - but there are comments from other ladies experiencing similar:

GFH - Yes, I'm good thanks. Things seem to be progressing well. You're 19 weeks today - so well done :j I know I've asked before (baby brain!)- but have you got a date for your 20 week scan? Do you want to know the flavour? Mines in less than 2 weeks now - I can't wait!!!!!0 -
Back from the hospital, its not good, the chaance is actually higher than 1 in 2 and with the blood results, it could be edwards, patau or another syndrome, some of which are incompatiable with life. I have opted for a cvs as I need to know, and that can be done next week, where as an amino I would have to wait for another four weeks, which I couldnt cope with. With the blood results being so bad there is a high chance of heart defects. so its looking verrrry bad.
Pawpurrs I also think you are making the right decision in finding out sooner rather than later. I do not know what support we can offer on here, but please do keep posting. :A
The same goes for Twoflowers, you are in my thoughts still.0 -
Firstly ((hugs)) and lots of support for pawpurrs. We are all here if you need to talk.
I have had my date through for my 20 week scan, 30th November, except I'll be more like 19 and a bit weeks! Going to find out the sex as my hospital allows it although they do say it's not 100% guaranteed.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -

Paws I am so sorry
You are definately making the right decision getting the cvs and then at least you can make the right decision from there. Thinking of you and your DH ((hugs)).

I can't even explain to her why very easily as it would cause a lot of upset right now that we would never get past at a later date.
Sorry, I seem to be whinging a lot recently. I will try and cheer up, after all, I didn't even know if I'd ever be able to have kids, and here I am, all sicky and fatI know I have so much to be thankful for.
Hugs hngrymummy I was having to deal with a friend who was needing an emotional crutch a few weeks ago and due to my feelings about my pregnancy I was finding it very difficult to relate to her problems....I had to tell my friend that although I loved her I was going through a pretty rough time myself and I needed to focus on keeping myself stressfree due to me being preggers.
As for whinging, I have also felt guilty for being a moan and crying all the time etc.....I was told from the age of 17 (I'm now 36) that due to the damage caused to me internally by my then fiance, I would never be able to get pregnant so I was in quite a bit of shock when I discovered I was PG I didn't know how to react. I couldn't get excited, sat crying my eyes out etc.....it's only now that I have the scans in my hand to show me I am actually going to produce another human being, that I am getting used to the fact. I still wake up in the morning and forget I am pg and its only trying to get out of bed with aches and pains in places I didn't think I could have aches and pains, that I actually believe its happening......this and the fact I had been very unwell for 18 months and was finally getting somewhere with my consultants to be told on the day I found out I was pg I was to have an operation which is now being delayed until the alien has landed....
I'm sorry I have kinda started typing there and looked at it to see it was turning into an epic..I'll say no more at this time other than we are here to listen to whinging and to give virtual hugs when needed....I'm off now to read the rest of the posts as I saw yours and I just had to reply because it is nice to know there is someone out there who might actually have an inkling of how I am feeling atm.
