Apologies for brief and depressing posts yesterday :o

Went to MW, who would not sweep as unsure if breech. Sent to hosp, unsure again so had to see registrar and SHO, unsure again so had scan. At one point said I was transverse and had to have emergency section NOW!! Confusion apparently arose as head so deeply engaged it cannot be felt. So right way round in fact. Query waters broken so checked but seem to be in tact.
    Had failed attempted sweep.

Summary-3 hours of very painful, intrusive and awkward internal and external examinations that really hurt (I know I sound crap) and all these pains and everything mean naff all as I am no where near giving birth.

ETA-thank you all so much for supportive words about ex-he is denying anything, she's married apparently, but who knows.

Hugs Emsy. It's hard to see the other person move on, even when there's good reasons why you're not together. The poor girl will wise up to him soon enough, I'm sure.

Bit of a panic this morning as I seem to have a cold sore coming up and am sure I've heard that the virus can be really dangerous for babies:(. Will have to pop to the chemist and see if I can get something to zap it with.

I think it depends on how long you've been having cold sores and if you've passed on your antibodies to sprog.

I've not had one since getting pg, so not sure what can and can't be used. If they tell you you can't use anything, I used a tea tree and witch hazel foot gel (carefully applied with a cotton bud) once because I was out of patches. Seemed to work quite well for me.
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

  • Me too March :D

In fact OH has said he will treat me to one as my sciatica has been playing up this week, and apparently massage is great to help relieve it.

My yoga teacher does it, it's £45 for an hour, so think I may go for it.

Just wondered what it entailed as you obviously can't lie on your front.

Not as such but when I was 13 weeks pg I went on a spa day, I had a gorgeous back massage, just wasn't as vigourous as my friends due to being early stages of pg:)
If it's specifically a pregnancy one...go for it, anything that makes you feel good is a bonus in the 3rd trimester;):)
ETA: if someone specialises in pg massages they might have a table with the hole in the middle for the belly...either that or they'll do it while you're sat up :)

PITY POST........I have a banging headache, feel knackered and can't poo:o:( Gotta love being pg:rotfl:
