Princess Coupon - My 20 week scan is on 10 Nov. 2 weeks tomorrow. Ages away!!

GFH - Thanks love, the job is going great. Tbh, I've worked there before but left on good terms and always stayed in touch - and got offered the current position part time - so it's all worked out perfectly!! I meant to post the other day when you said about your wine on the weekend - made me laugh as I :eek:when I take holy communion, I'm that paranoid :rotfl:

Nic - (((Hugs))) It must be a hard decision for you. But do what's best for you and your family.

Ladylegs, Fuzz and Emsy - I think we need to run a book on who's going to pop first It would be fantastic if you all had babies on Halloween :eek:

Oooh, but news from me - I *think* I felt the baby kick. Was lying on the sofa watching the box and had my hands on my belly and thought I could feel some faint kicks on the right side. Hmmmmm. But then I also had really bad trapped wind today so who knows :eek:

Thanks Sammy but I am a drama queen so likely to string it out for days.......weeks.....,maybe til Xmas?!?

And frankly I dare not face the wrath of Fuzz if I go before her :rotfl: :rotfl:

DD keeps asking what this "sweep" thing is on the weekly planner.......brief explanation that the midwfie is going to see how ready I am and if she can get things going, the reply being "bet she looks up your bum. Gross. I'm not going. Drop me at nana's first please"

This was followed by a bit of huffing and puffing as I got out the bath earlier, and she popped her head in and said " you ok?" I said yes, maybe the baby is coming, to which I got the reply "well, good luck with that" and she went back to her room to listen to Hannah flamin Montanna :rotfl: :eek: :rotfl: :eek:

Pawpurrs - I found the date after a bit of stalker like behaviour! RE the nuchal scan - did you have your bloods done after the scan as well? The results come through quite quickly - but like GFH says - they're not always as accurate as you'd think. I know it's hard - but try not to worry.

Right, I'm off to bed before Ice starts changing her dates again and messing with my head :D

Evening ladies

Just being nosey as Krystal mis typed something on the parents thread so I popped across for a look. I had a colposcopy and then laser treatment (dunno what it was called) to remove cells back in 1995. They told me then I would 'probably' need a stitch to carry a baby to full term. When I got pg, I mentioned it and my midwife said not to worry and they don't stitch any more {shrug}.

As it turned out, the treatment had caused scarring on my cervix which held my LO in! I had to be induced in the end (bye bye home water birth) as my waters went but no contractions started until a consultant had 'gone in' and cleared away the scarring with her fingers (would be like a sweep I imagine).

Don't know if this helps as I only quickly skim read the posts about it but thought I would pass on my experience.
