Coops - how far south of Aberdeen? We have a 4x4 too, hubby needs it for getting in and out of fields with sheep and tractors!! But it's great when there is lots of snow, we sometimes get snowed in here just North of Dundee0

I don't want anyone to think I becoming neurotic, but I'm a little paranoid about having a sore throat this close to deing due. I'm starting to worry if I have the baby and kiss it, I might pass on something. Is Strep B something to do with a sore throat? Any input would be appreciated. Spot the first timer!
Not to worry you but this lady is local to me but hit the nationals as she has a cold sore/mouth ulcers so be careful if this is the case because baby's immune system isn't strong enough to fight that virus....

She's since had another baby and all is well with baby. My mum seems to always have them so I'll be especially careful.0 -

Ah, Hello, I'm the lady that lives near Laurencekirk. But out in the middle of knowhere which is just brill!!
There is nothing like ploughing snow with your 4x4 when no one else is going anywhere!!!!
It's a cool place to live in that if I fancy going to the shops I can go to Montrose, or either head north to Aberdeen or, more likely, south to Dundee!! (I work shifts up in Aberdeen)
Aberdeen (Aberdeenshire) is just silly for house prices so good luck to Nic2075 in finding something suitable. At least buying is a bit easier than a few years ago!!!
Back in 2006 we saw our house on the Friday and by Monday we had bought it before it had a chance to be advertised in the P&J on the Tuesday!! I took longer to buy a dress never mind a house!!!! :rotfl::jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0 -
shops in Dundee are pants. Hell I have managed to get snowed in un Claverhouse before. NO 4x4 here my mondeo used to go thru pretty much anything but I don't have her now.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

I have to admit that with the choice of Aberdeen or Dundee for shops, I usually chose Dundee!!! Aberdeen is very disjointed and the parking prices are just stupid!!!
But, I did live in Aberdeen for a few years so that might by why I am put off going there!!!!:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0 -
I'm feeling all teary and depressed today. My OH left earlier to drive back up to Aberdeen and I'm on my lonesome with the kids. That's not too bad as we have a good routine but I miss him so much. Especially as I've had him with us for the last 2 weeks.
Thanks for all the advice re house moving. We are planning to move asap.
I'm finally starting to feel like I have more energy. I'm 13+3 today. It's the first week in ages that I've notfelt like I need an afternoon nap.
I've got a sausage casserole in the slow cooker as we speak. We are having yorkies with it followed by trifle. Hopefully that will cheer me up.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

You're doing very well effectively on your own with two smalls.
And now you know for sure you've made the right decision.
What does OH think? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

He would love us all together asap.
Our plan when he got the job, was for us to live separately for a year so dd can have a full year in Primary 1.
He only got told he'd got the job half way through the summer hols so we had to decide quickly. Then we found out I'm pregnant in September so it's changed everything.
We lived apart for a year in 2008 as his probation year (newly qualified teacher) was in St Andrews which is still 2 1/2 hours away. So we thought we could do it again, forgetting how tough it was.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
So how long left to go?Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
