As long as you don't sell them as toys but as 'ornaments' then you should be ok (maybe bung some lavender or something in them?). Otherwise there are regulations regarding safety, insurance etc. Bit of a pain really.

I love making soft toys, so might have another look at if I can do anything with that too. I made a huuuge beanbag bear for my niece when she was little.

Lots of things to think about. Thanks everyone :)

Yeah, I used to sell them at a specialist shop, now I just do them for fairs or online. Nobody would buy them as toys because of the price anyway!! You do need to have specialist buyers

Depending on how your skills are, I design and make traditional teddy bears - I'm planning on doing this during matty leave - depending on my hands!

OOOOO! pics please, where do you sell them?

I'm really bored and do not feel like going to bed!! Hubby is away for the week-end to the Scottish Ploughing championships in the borders, so I am here all on my own :(, well with the 3 dogs keeping me amused - at the moment the jack russell is throwing hubbys slipper about!! Bump is also moving lots which never fails to amuse me :)

The bears are beautiful Catwoman. Everyone must have gotten a good night's sleep last night as there were no insomniacs posting!

    Morning peeps

I had some freaky dreams last night, all a bit muddled, but I was really struggling with breastfeeding (common thing in my dreams), I took up smoking, and a small child advised me that I should give the baby real food when I took it skiing!! Very random especially as I will be the size of a house this ski season so no way am I going!!

My brother is off travelling to the other side of the world tomorrow :( Not sure whether he will be back by April to meet the baby, he was planning to but his GF wants to stay longer. They'll have a fab time but will really miss him. They bought us a load of things for the baby in case they're not back including a cute cow snowsuit type of outfit :rotfl:

Sammy, love the bump - you're only a couple of weeks ahead of me in that so I hope mine appears soon!!

CL I would be really annoyed about the travel system as well, so much that I would consider taking it back and getting it elsewhere (if it wasn't for the hassle of it!)

hngrymummy, yay for the end of your MS!! I think the bear outfit is very cute and bubs will look so cuddly in it!

nic, I think the idea of moving before babs arrives would make things easier, especially if the other option is coping on your own for 5 months!! Hope you manage to find somewhere nice and affordable so you can get settled in :)

Thats all I can remember, sorry to anyone I missed xx
