nic - have you considered looking at property auctions in the area for reposessed houses? That is the only way me and OH will ever get on the property ladder as we can get a house for half the normal market value. Go for it, it may be hectic whilst the move is happening but everyone will be happier for it once its done.DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Hi all, haven't read back just yet (how much do you lot talk again?:p)but hope you are all well and welcome to the graduates from the other thread.
I'm 39 weeks today and measure 124cm around my widest point.
RIP my poor inny...gone but not forgotten.
No need for a Halloween costume this year...my stretchies could scare anyone all by themselves.:p BOO!
eta: Gah, my mother has just turned up so got to log out. *sigh*0 -
Nic, having done both, I'd move before the baby rather than after, it makes life so much easier! Plus you will all feel better if Daddy's around0

Now I know what others would do I feel we can get excited about the move. It would maybe be before Xmas. I keep imaging a nice cottage with Xmas tree and wood fire stranded in because of the snow. I quite like the sound of that.

Legs I can hardly see any stretchies!
Nice round bump though
I'm a bit bored too. OH has made a start on the DIY needed in the nursery, and there's not much I can do to help right now.
I just want to get onto the nice bits..ie sticking the animals all over the walls etcMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
One of our cats jumped into the bugaboo carrycot earlier

Our cat spends her time alternating between sleeping in Oli's cot, the changing table and the buggy, depending on whether the sun or the radiators are providing the most warmth at the time. I am a bad mother0 -
Nic.
Just wanted to say I used to live in Aberdeen but we moved down the coast last year and I now commute for work ~ 30 mins each way. Like you say city prices are horrendous but you'll get loads more for your money if DH doesn't mind the drive. My family are in Fife so it also means I'm that bit closer to them.
Think the kids will be happiest wherever you and OH are happy. Also the sooner you move the quicker you can get involved in the local antenatal clasess, baby and toddler groups etc...perfect opportunity to make new friends before baby arrives.

Hugs, vibes, dust, magic, or any other applicable messages to you all flowers :A xxxxxxxxx0 -

Thanks Fuzz. My Oh works in a lovely village called Kintore to the west of Aberdeen so were not looking for Aberdeen city centre itself.
Kintore is too expensive so we are looking at any surrounding areas.
we fancy something pretty rural so the kids can grow up experienceing wide open spaces and small schools.
I stay in a small village at the moment and love the village life.
We fell in love with this one (not sure if link will work) but its working out too expensive with council tax and bills on top. It would be just one wage until next summer really.

there are no bad villages that weve came across, its a beautiful part of the country.
oxCclaireox , we looked at Portlethen and Stonehaven but my OH works in Kintore so it would involve going through a milllion roundabouts in traffic to get to work.
All my family are in Ayrshire and OH's are in Glasgow but they are all happy to come and visit.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
