I put the fire on for a little while to take the edge off - feeling much warmer now :o)
  • Hi all, just a quick update from me, haven't had time yet to catch up with the other posts but hugs to all who need them

Had some good appointments in Birmingham today. Little fella is growing well, now measuring 26 weeks (I'm 24+4) and they estimate he weighs 805g which is 1lb 12oz in old money and because of this they are sending me for a GTT in 2 weeks time. I have decided that consultants are never happy!
He has also been confirmed as a boy, he was not shy on flashing his tackle this time! LOL

Also, on a very positive note I am actually feeling that I'm starting to bloom! At long last. Hips are not too bad, probably because the little chap is currently head down and taking the pressure off my hips, however, my pubic bone is still very painful.

Hopefully I will catch up properly with everything tomorrow.

Sammy I'm also A- and my hospital has just changed it's policy. They were finding many ladies didn't return for their 34 week jab so they now do a bolus injection straight into the vein in the arm at 28 and do your 28 week bloods at the same time. Pretty painless really. However, I do suspect that if this bean is + I'll get the jab in my rear after birth :eel:
    xx

I know I'll have to have the post birth jab too because OH is positive so LO will be too. Do they test baby's blood group straight away and then give it immediately after labour or do you go back to hospital for it sometime later?

Thanks Sammy! And to all others that congratulated me! Yep test is booked for before baby is due, havent told anyone in RL but if you can promise to keep a secret I might spill when it is lol....
Mine too... It's in December... Earliest I could get it, on a day when Hubby's off work to watch the small monkey-child... It's his birthday... He said to me the other day "I hope you don't fail, it'll be a right downer on my birthday"

Thanks dear... No pressure or anything...

Scary stuff Ems!!! The midwife couldn't find the heartbeat at my last appointment, but I think it's because my placenta is anterior...

Incidentally, most of my movements are the baby kicking down, feels like little electric shocks on my bladder!

Lovely scan picture Sarah, it's beautiful :)

Gah, Hubby is chasing one of the cats round trying to get her into the kitchen... Why he just doesn't pick her up I don't know... He said it's because she's viscious, but I think him flapping at her night after night isn't going to make her any more loving is it?! tit...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

that is a very stylish rocker princess.

emsy will they be checking if he is head down on weds, good luck x Mine was breech but turned, I think he might be breech again cos had loads of bladder kicks this week, will see on friday.

catwoman get that heating on, I've had mine on a bit and I am never cold and I'm down south so you must be freezing.

I'm too excited to sleep but gonna be shattered tomorrow again. I will have to catch up when the kids are at school, would rather sleep at night though. Last night at work was fab, the girls gave me so much stuff its unreal, even got a card and some chocs of a lady who had been in all week from a different store but was doing training. So many clothes for the little man, cot mobile, travel cot, flowers, chocs and a bottle of bubbley. My manager was nearly in tears saying she was going to miss me too which was lovely, she is fab. We are all going out for a meal in a couple of weeks so I'll be seeing them all really soon anyway lol. I will not be missing the late nights yay.

Just popping in for a quick question. Midwife has said that i have to go for a gtt at 28 weeks, but i don't actually see her til 28 weeks now. They didn't mention it at the hospital on monday(and i completely forgot), so who actually does the test? Will the midwife do it, or should they have booked me in at the hospital?

Princess that rocker is gorgeous, if i didn't already have one, i would be whiping the credit card out for it :)
