dusty I think I still felt like that at that stage but it could just be too many twiglets lol
GTT over and done with this morning, nearly had breakfast eeek. There is no way I'm doing that again if its negative. The first hour wasn't too bad but the second hour dragged and I started feeling very hungry, dizzy and I was sooo tired. Didn't help that I couldn't sleep when I got home from work last night so went to bed at 1am, DS had me up at 3am because he had climbed on his windowsill to wave goodbye to daddy then had me up properly at 6:30am, I'm shattered.
Last night at work tonight, I'm going to express my extreme tiredness to my manager and pray she lets me go early but I doubt it, its so crazy busy at the moment. Might get away with leaving at 10pm.
Kids are going to the school halloween disco tonight, OH is taking them, DS is a skeleton and DD a witch, my first ever try at face painting, its not perfect so thank goodness its halloween ones they are a bit easier to do than pretty butterflies etc I think. Disco is between 4:30 and 5:30 DS is very much over excited bless him.0 -
Oh my God I feel really stressed at work this week - I feel like people have just realised how little time I have left here (it's 56 days at my desk despite it being 3 months till I leave!) so I'm suddenly getting urgent report requests and massive projects - I want to cry! Especially as I could really do with being at home to get the painting finished.
Anyone know how easy it is to get signed off with stress? And whether it's worth it if there's no one covering your job while you're off - meaning all this work will still be here when I get back?My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

lilian I think it depends on the doctor, my mum got signed off really easy with stress in january last year for about 2 weeks. When it first snowed bad she got stranded at work and the shock and bad treatment she got from other colleagues and the managers is what put her over the edge. Luckily one fab girl stepped up and let her go stay at hers as she was walking distance away but mum had worked there for nearly 15 years, all the manager had booked themselves into a hotel across the road and claimed expenses and said tuff to her. She cried at the doctors and he signed her off no problems, she didn't go back till all the snow had gone. Its not funny but I can't help laughing at her bless.0

Evening Ladies
Merfe - Awww, bless your mum. I think work is probably the worst place to get stuck in the snow! Lucky lady - good luck for your last day at work :T
Lilian - Maybe it's worth a trip to the docs. Even if it's just for a week, then at least it gives you a bit of a rest. At the end of the day, you can only do so much work. Is there anyone else you can delegate some of it to? Or have you got a manager you can speak to?
Dusty - I hope it is baby movements that you ca feel. I'm 18 weeks today and have felt nada. Except for a load of wind - but I don't think that counts
Redstararnie - Manonthemoon is expecting twins - but thats in March - so a bit late i think for BB. Good tester though. I got offeed a relaxation CD but haven't received it yet

Fuzz - I'm guessing you didn't finish your book then as you've been quiet this afternoon! Either that or someone's queue jumping
Ticklepenny - I know I sound a complete numpty. But what is a pelvic floor exercise. Is it lying on the floor and lifting your hips upSounds a bit too strenuous for my liking
!
Emsy - Hope the MW went well. Are you officially engaged now?
Loubylou - It is exiting to be on the list. Everytime I see it, I move that little bit further up - but it seems a loooong way to the top!
*Bigbird* - Fingers crossed your eviction plan works this weekend. I was just thinking today, that my feet stink, and I'm normally blessed with non smelly feet. And I do bathe every day - honest!!!
LilacPixie - Thanks for the info. Although it does worry me that you stated "rare blood" three times in your post
Pukkamum - First come first served. Did you claim the 15th before Emsy? In that case you should be first. Or shall we pick straws??? :rotfl:
Krystal - Is hand expressing as painful as it sounds? I'm not having very good visions here!!
Lauren - That's a bargain on the Zia Star. Very MSE :money: Have you got a link?
MI3 - yay, another A Neg ladyI don't feel so alone now!! I was told to go to the Anti-D clinic at the hospital - but have to prebook. Crikey, don't fancy the jab in the derriere much
Plymouthscubagirl - I can't believe you're about to drop, and you don't have any stretchies :T Come on, what's your secret????
Ladylegs - Have you given birth yet?? Come on, chop chop:D
Tinks - (((Hugs))). Sorry you're having a real carp time with the SPD. It sounds awful. I hope you get the support you need from the consultant.
Right, I think I've covered everything since I last posted - you lot are one chatty bunch!!
I think the baby wants pizza so I'm going to be naughty and order a takeaway. Oooh, double decadence dominos - yummy0 -
Your baby probably won't feed much over the first 2/3 days and then after that it will be little and often....very often. But you do need to actually breastfeed to get your supply going (expressing and breastfeeding are two very different actions), expressing is also very much useless in the early days as the amounts will be small (were talking drops here) in all you should really avoid the pump for a good 4-6 weeks after birth.
Breast pumps are not great for getting the colostrum to flow either as its thicker, you dont really make much of it and going from boob, to pump to bottle for the sake of half an ounze is a time consuming.
I'm sorry but I disagree - DD2 was tube fed for four weeks and I expressed this for her from her birth - not once did I only get a few drops, in fact the midwives on the ward nicknamed me Daisy!!

DS1 wouldn't BF - i starved him (unknowingly) for 48 hours. when i eventually expressed i filled a good 2-3oz every time.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I need to get more disposable nappies, but not sure on sizes. I’ve got reusables, but after speaking to a friend yesterday who had her baby 3 weeks ago, I’m thinking sposies would be better for the first month or so as I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself with keeping up with the washing etc. I currently have about a week’s worth in sizes 1 and 2, but will need to get some more. How long to babies tend to be in each size for? I’m not sure whether to mainly concentrate on getting size 2s, as I can always send DH out for size 1s if Flump turns out to be smaller than I’m expecting. What are others doing?
We're doing the same, disposables for about a month (not only for getting into a routine, but I've been told newborns sometimes don't fit too well into reusuables early on and I wanted birth to potty reusables). We've got 3 packs (81 nappies) of newborn size 1, and 1 pack (forget how many) of newborn size 2. We're leaving it at that for now and will get more when baby is born when we need them.Baby Giz born 6/2/110
