  • Good morning Ladies,

Just wondered if any of you have experience with baby slings. My DH really wants one and I have used This website for more info but was looking on ebay to try and get a pre-loved sling, is that advisable or is it safest to buy new?

Also got my RLT yesterday then checked and cant start drinking it yet :o

    Thanks

Re the Bounty pack - I didn't get the first one at all, as MW didn't know about them. Apparently there's just a pregnancy guide in the first pack and the voucher for the second pack. But I signed up for the website and they eventually sent me the voucher for the second pack (which btw you get from Sainsburys - its the Emma's Diary packs you get from Argos/Lloyds). However, still don't have this pack as local Sainsbury's has been out of them for weeks.

I think OH is coming round to my choice for a boy's name and I'm ok with his choice for a girl - just worried that we should have more than one option in case he/she doesn't look like that name when it comes out.

Can't find any nursery bedding etc I like, anybody found any obscure websites I've tried all the main ones.

Dont forget you can get Bounty packs from Boots too.

I bought my bedding from here as it was the cheapest have you tryed it?

Thanks everyone. I'll stick to one pack of pads for starters. Didn't realise you might not leak at all. And yes I'll be having a second baby if all goes well.

I went on the Bepanthen website and for a short survey they send you a free sample in the post. http://www.bepanthen.co.uk/ bottom left for link.

Also checked Lansinoh website and as GFH says it says you can request a free sample from your midwife/HV. So I will wait.

Going to check out the Boots Minor Ailments thing now and see if there's one local to me. //edit - nope there isn't :(

The first pack's book has a voucher for a free pack of newborn nappies from Tesco. And a voucher for a Bumgenius nappy for £3.95.

Re baby slings. I picked one up in a bundle of bargain baby stuff at an auction for my dd2, it was the ergo baby carrier one
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ergo-Baby-Carrier-Black-Camel/dp/B001JZU8O8

it was amazing, so comfortable and baby/child can be sat in so many positions. Unforunately i sold it after saying we weren't having any more children, i'm gutted. Picked up a babasling in tk maxx sale when they were closing down for £20, so will see how that goes. Anyone have any experience of this brand?

I have a baby hawk mei tei that I got from eBay... I don't think there's any problem with buying second hand, as long as it's not frayed or torn anywhere...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

  • GFH- Wikipedia says....Anwen (Anwyn) is a Welsh female name. There are a number of English translations for the name's meaning, the most common is Very Beautiful, other translations include fair, pure and white.

Im a bit confused about how many weeks I am and the due date I was told at my scan the other day.
The measured 12 weeks exactly and they told me 28th April. I just accepted it.
But I just put the details into a Edd calendar thing and it's says I'm 11+4 today going by the28th as my due date. She was adamant l was 12 weeks on Thursday so I'm 12+3 today?
It's almost a week of difference so not sure what to follow.
If my date stays like that and it's incorrect it could affect being induced etc.

    Am I missing something?

  • Morning bumpy ladies.

I saw myself for the first time in 5 months in a full length mirror last night. I didn't look like me anymore. :( It was as if someone had taken my head and put it on a pregnant woman's body. I guess if I'd seen myself more regularly it wouldn't have been so much of a shock.

Going to have some lunch now, then reproof the canvas roof on my car and do housework.

Not been sick since Tuesday (had to leap out of my friend's car pretty sharpish), but have been feeling quite nauseous. Still, it's a good week if I'm only nauseous and not actually sick every day :D

Wishing you all a stretchmark free day

    Hi Nic.........

If you are due 28th April 2011, that means you have 118 in 2011 being preggers. There are 75 days of 2010 left. total 193 days left being preggers. Gestation is 40 weeks i.e 280 days. If you have 193 days left, that means you are 87 days pregnant, therefore 12+3 today.

    I thank you :A
