Do I need to buy some breastpads before baby is born?

I'm 36 weeks and haven't needed any yet. I bought some months ago, but no sign of any leaks.

Will I need them from the first day of breastfeeding though? Should I get a pack?

    Thanks Lilac

I think that Safari/Jungle stuff is great for either a boy or a girl - I'm the same I love anything like that - I have the Fisher Price Rainforest range, my wall stickers for the nursery arrived the other day and they are fab! Also just won a lightshade with a giraffe on it, and have giraffe curtains :o)

My hubby was gutted he missed that! He's a trucker and watches anything like that :wall:
Mine too, who does he work for?? Mini baby boom in OH's work apparently. Wouldn't it be amusing if it was the same place :rotfl:

Crazytink - sorry to hear the sweep wasn't successful. I hope baby makes an appearance before the 23rd! Sending loads of labour vibes your way :)

Teenie - thanks so much for you rpost. I went to my local Asda this afternoon and they didn't have any of the elctric pumps yet. After reading your post, I checked online and have ordered 2 (1 for me and 1 for my sister). Happy bunnies for £20 each :j

  • RE: Bras. I found an amazing site for ladies with lovely jubllies Linky

    Gratz three.

My friend had her baby on the 13th, 13 days late at 14:13 lol. It was a little boy weighing 8lb 10oz called Ellison. Im hoping to go and see them in the next couple of weeks. He was born in the waters and she didn't need any stitches, had no pain relief until 8cm dilated and then only had gas and air. What a lucky moo. Thats my ideal labour lol. Oh yeah, it was her second child and labour was 8hrs. Think I covered everything :rotfl:

Can someone please add me to the due date list for 21st April, or do I need to add myself?

Also anyone have any good recommendations of places to buy maternity clothes? I have started looking and haven't found anything I like that much yet.

I have bought most of my clothes from New look in the sale as they go really cheap. My work trousers are next (but from ebay;):money:) and im uber tempted to get the mat jeans on sale on the mamas and papas site as they are in the sale :)

    Welcome and enjoy:)

When I had Oli (2008) I asked the GP and midwives about whether I had to wait for injections before swimming, and they all said no, there was no reason to, just not to take him the day he had them as he would feel poorly IYSWIM.

Mine too and I had to keep flicking quickly passed it so he didn't notice it was on lol. Apparently when I was at work the other night he watched 3 episodes on iplayer with the kids, DS sat nicely through all 3 but DD got a bit bored, don't blame her.

He has just left for work and I was not feeling too good so thought sitting upright might help a bit, gotta go back to sleep in a bit before DS gets up for the day.

Giz I took my DD to scilly isles for a week when she was about 4 months and it was great. Admittedly I stayed at my dads when I was there but travelled down on the train and caught helicopter over there and it was fine. We fully intend on spending a week in ireland in July so when baby is 7ish months. They are quite easy to take anywhere when they are young I think.
