It normally does go up but not sure if it will this year with the tories in, it wouldn't be alot more anyway so might be best to budget with the figures you have. I'll get even less cos I'm p/t but it'll be 90% of my pay for 9 months which is quite nice actually, might work out even with not having to get so much petrol. I'm only panicking about december - no one is having a christmas present.

As for doing stuff in the 2nd trimester, whoever mentioned it(did I tell you I was becoming !!!!!!?!;))....totally agree!

Fuzz of course you agree, it was me that said it and we are preggers freaky twin things :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Now I popped into town and id the school run and you rat bags posted 4 pages   :T

I know lots of us have felt ignored/missed and it is true that we take it more personally as we are avec le bump I'm sure.

TBH, until a couple of weeks ago I felt I had little to contribute, (still true but I ramble anyhoo) I do think as you move on, your posting on here probably increases as you feel less like the "newbies"

Or I am reading waaaaaaay too much into everything :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Wow this thread has moved rapidly since last night!! Sometimes I want to respond to posts but, as I work too hard at work :rotfl:I don't get a chance to get on during the day and by the time I get round to posting, the thread has moved on too far!

Matty leave - I'm starting mine 2 weeks before due date, and have a weeks A/L before that, although I can see me working this too, as I have sooooo much to do at work - I am actually dreading going off! someone I am in charge of is doing a secondment to cover my post while I am off and I don't trust her one bit - neither does anyone else, and no-one is happy, so I am trying to deal with that as well as tying everything else up! My boss has been great but I think she is dreading me going off too, only 4 weeks on Friday 'til I go:eek:. On a different note, I also teach dancing part-time, and only doing 3 classes or so on a Saturday at the moment which is fine, I get tired but not too bad - so I got a message on FB last night from my boss at the dancing asking if I would be available to teach the full day on the 21st November:eek:. I was like eh no I don't think so, 2 weeks before my due date I am unlikely to be wanting to jump around, and dance with classes of kids (as many as 20) as young as 3:eek:.

Stretch marks - I thought I had escaped until a couple of weeks ago, now I have loads - and they are itching like crazy, but I am proud of them!

FB - if anyone else wants to ad me please feel free, I had a couple of requests last night and two today, all are confirmed:)

    Sorry for the epic post!!

I'd reconsider the nappy stacker and hooded towels, I'm not one for buying for the sake of it and actually got those as gifts for my 1st. I'd now consider them necessary for my 2nd especially the hooded towels DD still uses one at 2 and a half she loves getting snuggled when she gets out.
My washable nappies are kept in a drawer of my expedit at the end of my sofa, pampers are kept in the cardboard box they're bought in at the end of our bed... Can't be faffed with taking them out of a box to put in a pretty hanging bag... Wouldn't have anywhere to hang it either... And I have a few baby towels that the toddler uses at the moment... She'll move onto the next drawer in the bathroom unit and share her big sisters bath towels probably... Although within seconds of coming out of the bath she can usually be found running naked around the landing air drying herself so I do wonder why we bother sometimes...:rotfl:
I don't qualify for SMP:( only 39 weeks on MA which is £124.88 a week:( does anyone know if the rate rises in April and what to? it usually goes up every year but no matter how much I google I can't find any mention of the 2011-2012 rate
MA is the same rate as SMP (without any employer enhancements) anyway isn't it? It was when I went on to it with DD1... Which was 7 years ago, and I got £117pw... So even if it goes up, I wouldn't expect much of a hike!

Oh yeah, and I'm dead ignorant... I read all the posts but don't always reply... Well... I reply in my head... Just can't be bothered to type it out most of the time... ;)

On the parent thread, if we feel we're being ignored, we repost with coloured font and bolding until someone responds...

Or we post about being ignored and flounce off...

When I say we, I don't mean me... Flouncing off is far more effort than I'm prepared to make....
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

A friend of mine keeps her washables in a drawer too Krystal - I use nappy stackers for mine, because my changing table is in the bathroom, and there is nowhere to store nappies, so I hang them off that. I find them indispensable, but wouldn't bother if I was using disposables.

Not sure what we'll do in the new house, because there is no room for a changing table or mat in the bathroom, so I will have to rethink. I've never had my nappies anywhere other than next to a sink - how do people organise themselves if they can't? I don't want dirty nappies of any sort in anyone's bedroom really if I can avoid it.

Hi everyone, not had much chance to get on here, been trying to catch up, ten pages to go.

Alex is now 19 days old and he is so adoreable. I love him so much. Thankfully i haven't developed postnal depression, i think it was the baby blues and am feeling much better now. My dh was very supportive which helped. We are getting used to the sleepless nights. My days just seem to go no where, before i know it, its evening time. Am trying to make a start on my university assignments and keep up with lecture slides.

I was breastfeeding but couldn't get Alex to latch on and he was getting more and more fustrated and so was i. It was upsetting to see him getting destressed due to having to keep on taking him off my breast. I did speak to a breastsupport counsellor and they did come out but each time Alex had finished his feed and i tried to do what they told me and they showed me on a doll but it just seemed to get harder. I did feel gulity about not been able to breast feed him. Now Instead as i still wanted him to have the breastmilk, i have been expressing my milk. We are now combination feeding, he is mainly getting breast milk. For the next seven days i have to give him forumla as i have an infection in my c section wound and the anti boties (sp) that i was given last week did not work so am now on two different ones and one of them is not good when you are breast feeding but i need to take them to clear the infection up. I am expressing still and throwing the milk away so i can keep my supply still for when i finish the tablets.
