ssshhhh I've not seen it yet, darn saw the facebook messages and meant to watch it on catch up, luckily no one had put why it was sad oh well doesn't matter. I'll have a catch up of mondays and tonights on wed, its a pain working evenings sometimes.
  • On the subject of MAT leave start dates, I'm pretty sure you acrue holidays while on leave which can be taken before you go or before you return. So you could go earlier than you thought::j

mmmm this gives me food for thought as my leave runs from April to March so when I go back next January I will have another 29 days leave...thanks for that Princess :)

Anway, had a presentation scan at hospital today and baby's position is no longer a mystery. We are fully engaged, head down and ready to launch. :D

I also second what Emsy/Fuzz said about getting organised in the 2nd trimester - I have awful foof pains which wreak havoc with my mobility....I'd say do as much as you can between 20-30 weeks if it is possible.

Taking Mat leave one week before dd, but am constantly being asked to stay another week!
I currently have 22 work days remaining!!!!!

Wheezing lots still, but hoping it all eases without requiring anti-bs, seeing Midwife tomorrow morning, and hoping to find out about ante-natal classes still had no news about anything and starting to think i have missed the boat, but did enquire around 20 weeks!

Packed most of the babies bag last night and now need to sort out my bag, i have no pjs, as wear a large t-shirt in bed, but also want a water birth and have the tankini, so some way there!

Hugs to all those in pain, discomfort, i am just tired and very short of breath!

I'd reconsider the nappy stacker and hooded towels, I'm not one for buying for the sake of it and actually got those as gifts for my 1st. I'd now consider them necessary for my 2nd especially the hooded towels DD still uses one at 2 and a half she loves getting snuggled when she gets out.
isn't it strange what some people find essential and some don't. Add nappy stacker and hooded towels to muslins on the list of things I don't use.

I wasn't implying you have a big mouth or anything lol It really doesn't matter. Got through most the day without knowing lol

leopard lady hope you are feeling better soon, can't believe work want you to stay longer. I'm leaving at the worst time as there is a couple of people on holiday I'm sure they would love me to stay another week but wouldn't dare ask because I think they know I'm already struggling.
  • I don't qualify for SMP:( only 39 weeks on MA which is £124.88 a week:( does anyone know if the rate rises in April and what to? it usually goes up every year but no matter how much I google I can't find any mention of the 2011-2012 rate

Im in the same situation. Im not looking into it just yet as the government are doing some shuffling with the benefits system. I do believe it goes up but am sure there wont be anything about it yet. Let me know if you find out anymore though
