Just thought I'd pop in for a quick hello. I haven't forgotten about you and have been reading and staying up to date with everyone so congratulations to all new babies and newbies to the list.
FYI - the TTC part of the list dates back to the first pregnancy thread when there wasn't separate threads for TTC and up to 12 weeks. The pregnancy thread didn't move so quickly and people went from TTC through to delivery all on the same thread.
I'm slowly starting to feel more positive, have been back on the anti depressants for 4 weeks now and starting to have a few better days, still very tearful and flat at times, but less often. DH has been really good for most of the time and given me space and the chance to go for coffee with friends without DS etc.
I saw the anesthetist last week at the pain clinic tand we have decided in order to wean me off the codeine I'm taking for my SPD/PGP I will be starting Gabapentin today, which is an epilepsy drug also used for neuropathic pain. I should see benefits within 3 weeks if its going to work, just hoping one of the side effects of mood changes does materialise just as I seem to be getting back on track. Hopefully though, by reducing the amount of codeine I'm on and therefore the amount of pain I'm in will help keep my mood stable.
I'm also anaemic so have started on iron tabs and have been suffering heart burn a few times a week so really starting to rattle at night when I take all my drugs.
We had a 4d scan 3 weeks ago which was lovely and has helped me to feel more attached to this baby, but am still struggling to not feel resentful of baby as without being pregnant I wouldn't be off work (from 24 weeks until the end) and in the amount of pain I'm in.
Sorry to bring the thread down but thought I'd give you a quick update on where I am and that I'm still alive.
Appropriate vibes to everyone who needs them and I'll be on and off over the next few weeks.0 -
(((HUGS))) Welshlassie, hope your change of drugs helps you feel a bit better
I've just ordered curtains for the nursery from ebay, they are from Next and carry on the Jungle theme, brand new in packet for £17.50 instead of £55!
This is them here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEXT-Nursery-Safari-Facts-Giraffe-Curtains-66-x54-NEW_W0QQitemZ390239088612QQcategoryZ54264QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DDLSL%252BSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BMRU-11700%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D8%26pmod%3D250707422747%252B250707422747%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5150519538135206728 though we bought from a different seller, as they were still in packet and cheaper!0 -

You should ask him to double check this with his employer as the maximum allowed as a tax free lump sum is 4x salary. I'm not entirely sure of the rules for cover over and above this, but you might find it's taxed and so you wouldn't receive as much as you might be expecting.
It doesn't matter though, it's 3x what the mortgage is so as long as that's covered we'd be OK...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Arrghhhhhhh. Guess who forgot that she had to take a pot of wee to the appointment today!! So now I have an hour and a half (although we leave in an hour) to fill my bladder, empty it, and then make sure it's full again for the appointment
I'm sure men must write these letters demanding full bladders. Do they have any idea what a fidgety baby can do to a bladder?
Right, nearly downed a pint. Will try and get a bit more in me too.....
Wish me luckIf having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0
