Thanks for the comments re: birth plan:) Think I've covered everything without it looking like an essay:o:p

MV don't worry about the movements too much...you have one of those funky placenta's don't you? Bubs is probs kicking the poo out of that instead of you;):) And yes bumps change depending on where bubs is lying and also how bloated you are;)
Vitamin K injection is to help stop any blood clotting(?) I think, quote from NHS website...
    Vitamin K for your baby
Vitamin K is necessary to make the blood clot properly. Some newborn babies have too little vitamin K and to protect your baby you will be offered for your baby to be given vitamin K either by injection or mouth.
....it can be given as a one off injection or orally(this way has to be done a couple of times) you can choose not to have it but personally I'll have pretty much anything thats offered for bubs so long as it has no negative effects :)

As for your delivery...thats bum! They never make life easy do they?! Hope it gets sorted asap hun x

  • Thanks Fuzz. I just feel like crying, it must be my hormones. I'm not normally such a wuss. I do have an anterior placenta, which I think muffles kicks a bit, it's just that at nearly 7 months I'd expect to feel a bit more.

Thanks for the vit K info. So much still to learn!

You must be getting so excited now!! Bet you can't wait to hold your baby.

Sorry for bumper post got a lot of catching up to do!

MV Love the bumpage :) Sorry you’re feeling a bit fed up. I wouldn’t worry too much as bumps can change throughout the day and from day to day. How annoying that Mothercare have messed up your order – that’s all you need!

Dusty Thanks for the list am going to keep a copy of that and tick things off it as we get them :D I haven’t started thinking about lists and stuff yet – am waiting until we have had the 20 week scan till I start properly planning and buying the big stuff.

Giz Luckily our mortgage company gave us separate life insurance policies, plus an insurance against our future babies health and free wills when we took out our mortgage with them so we are covered that way.

Funnily enough I was considering boiler cover too. Our current boiler is the one that was in when the house was built so about 17 years old. We had problems with it breaking down last year and to be honest we were hoping to have moved before this winter set in but that’s not looking likely now. I’m starting to think that it could be a good idea just in case as I am really not sure it is going to last another winter :(

Tinks what a lovely hubby – I don’t think mine would even know what a Radley changing bag was

Sarah Hope all is well when you go in to get checked out hun *hugs*

Sammy Great news on the job glad you’ve managed to get something sorted. Good luck at the car boot hope you manage to get rid of everything :)

So as for me am just plodding along really.

OH seemed touched my belly this morning and he said “oh my god your belly is so hard” every time I’ve told him it’s hard and he touched he said he couldn’t feel what I meant – so I think today came as a bit of a shock  I can definitely see a difference in my belly now – come on bump start popping!

I’m hoping that the weather forecast is right so I can go to our local car boot on Sunday and hopefully start looking for a few little bits and bobs :)

Crying probably is hormones, but if you do feel yourself welling up ge ton the phone to mothercare asap...a crying pregnant woman will probs make them panic:p:rotfl: I well up at the slightest thing atm....last night DH was teasing me(like he normally does)...I ended up bawling & asking him why he's never nice to me & if he doesn't show he loves me soon then I may just walk out:o the g!t gave me a huge hug, called me a p!llock and laughed at me all night:eek::D we're not the loveydovey type incase you hadn't guessed:p:rotfl:

You midwife will probs talk to you about Vitamin K when she feels it's necessary..my MW knows how prepared I like to be so tells me everything WAYYYYY in advance:o

Just a quick update from me, on my way into hospital as haven't felt baby move properly for 3 days and haven't felt him at all since last night and this is how my other losses have happened. Phoned Birmingham and they are getting me in straight away for monitoring.
Keep your fingers crossed that its just my overactive imagination and paranoia and not bubs.
    Update in a bit xx

Oh Sarah the worry must be awful - have you in my thoughts today and really hope its just him being a lazy boy!

MV - I also have an anterior placenta and I don't feel so many movements this time around, the only movements I feel are really low down, at my 20 week scan the baby was lying transverse so I think this is why I am feeling it down there. You also have to remember (I know its not easy) that every baby is so different, DD1 hardly had any movements for me - so much so I went in at 24 weeks for monitoring, she was abolutley fine, but even when she was born and even now to a certain extent she has never been much of a mover - had no interest in crawling, never walked till 17 months - just a laid back wee thing - DD2 completely different story :rotfl::eek:.
    DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

    DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

Sam - Good luck at the boot sale & Fab news on the job :D

    MV - Hugs :A

    Fuzz - Good Birth Plan

Do you have to have one???? I guess I will know more after we see my consultant on the 27th Oct as they will decide then if I will be a sun roof or not :o Part of me is terrified about it and another part knows that I could end up doing damage to myself as my sister did and still be suffering with Pelvis/Hip/Back issues 13 years down the line as she is.

It seems that my sister will not be coming to my baby shower next week as she finds it too upsetting as they have been trying to two years to get PG with no luck.

I have starting nesting poor DH thinks he is in the wrong house :D I was up until 2.30am this morning cleaning the kitchen :o It makes quite an interesting sight with me weebeling aroung on my cructhes, it amuses DD :rotfl:

Good Luck with your sweep Crazy Tink sending you labour vibes. :A

Fuzz - remember to keep the TENS machine away from the water!

MV - I think its just you've got a soft cushiony placenta there as we're at the stage now when they are most active. At least you aren't being woken up at night by all the gymnastics going on in there!

Well we've had some great news to round off the week, OH has got a new job. And its even a better one than the one he's being made redundant from. Looks like I can hit the baby shops!

Good too, as my bra is strangling me today, time to get to Rigby & Peller for a refit me thinks.
We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.
