    Morning all

    I have heartburn - worse than I've ever had it in my life. It feels like I've got a block of cheese stuck in my windpipe and it's on fire! Argh :(

    Also, I'm supposed to be going to see Hamlet starring John Simm (yummy) in Sheffield tomorrow but went to the cinema last night and struggled to sit down for 2 hours - this play is 3 and a half hours and I'm on the front row, I really don't want to fidget all the way through! I don't know what to do. It's sold out so we can get a refund if they resell but that means driving to Sheffield to drop the tickets off. Too late for Ebay :(

    Morning ladies

    Anyone heard from Gems yet? Hope she is ok.

    I've been getting awful 'AF' like pains? Nothing too severe to make me worry but they take my breath away when they come. Right across my lower abdomen. Am hoping it's just bubs having a stretch and nothing more.

    Got my first mat jeans on weds night. Picked them up from mamas and papas. Same ones I'm guessing as your got ema. the cords fit lovely and will be nice for going out in but bit too lose around the bump for now. The jeans are a bit tight and too short in the leg but should be fine tucked into boots.

    Well that's about me, 15 weeks today. :T

    Just a quick update from me, on my way into hospital as haven't felt baby move properly for 3 days and haven't felt him at all since last night and this is how my other losses have happened. Phoned Birmingham and they are getting me in straight away for monitoring.
    Keep your fingers crossed that its just my overactive imagination and paranoia and not bubs.
    Update in a bit xx

  • Morning Ladies,

    Did a quick Birth Plan last night...is there anything else I should be adding?!?! TIA x
    Pain Relief
    Gas & Air
    Water
    TENS
    Epidural – ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY

    Water Birth
    • I’d like to be able to have the freedom to move around as much as I am able and would like to give birth as naturally as possible, so unless absolutely necessary, no drugs other than gas & air please;
    • I would like my husband to be with me at all times;
    • If for any reason an emergency c-section is needed then I would like everything to be clearly explained to DH and it will be his choice if he wants to come with me;
    • I’m happy for students to examine me & be at the birth as long as I’ve been told in advance and they’re always supervised;
    • If baby’s heartbeat has to be monitored I’d like it to be done in a manner where I can still use the pool/move around;
    • If I seem to be struggling at any point I will be open to suggestions but please bear in mind my preferred pain relief options. However, in light of all preferences I am happy to be guided by the midwives as to what’s best for baby to be delivered safely.
    Baby’s Arrival
    • If I have a water birth I’ll want to do skin to skin with baby straight away, if not, I’d like baby to be quickly wiped over before being placed on me for skin to skin contact;
    • Once baby has arrived I would like the cord to be cut by DH/midwife but only after the cord has stopped pulsing. If DH does this then I’d like him to tell me the sex of the baby, if not, I’ll find out for myself J
    • If the placenta does not come away naturally after what the midwife deems a reasonable period of time I’d like the injection to help it along;
    • I will be breastfeeding baby as soon as possible after birth and intend to breastfeed on demand. Please bear in mind this is our first child and therefore I may need help with breastfeeding;
    • I would like baby to have the Vitamin K injection (Signed form in maternity notes);
    I’m aware a water birth is not always possible; if this is the case then I would still like the freedom to move around and labour in water for as long as I can.

    Also really like Eleanor but then DD2 told me it was from Alvin and the Chipmunks! so can't do that!!

    Dusty can't believe you're 15 weeks already...seems to have gone so fast! You probs don't think that mind:)

    Sarahangel Fingers crossed all is well and bubs is having a growth spurt or has moved position so you can't feel him move so much (((HUGS)))

    Sarah - hope everything is ok. You're a week less pregnant than me and about a fortnight ago until a week ago I had days of not feeling him at all, it really worried me but thankfully the movements are back with a vengeance now. Hugs to you xx

    Morning everyone!!

    Sarahangel, hope everything is okay, have said a prayer bubs is okay and hopefully monitoring will set your mind at rest xx

    Not fully caught up, so may have more replies later! Getting a bit excited / scared seeing your birth plans, I've been thinking hard about what I want to have. I was thinking I would like a water birth both from the pain relief and the support from the water to help me get into the right position - OH had the cheek to say he thought I wanted it as something to boast about to my friends!!! :@

    Dusty, yes I think I got the same jeans and cords as you - am wearing the cords today :) Did you find the buttons and elastic in the waistband - I had them on for a while this morning thinking they were too baggy until I thought to look for them and now they are nice and snug :)

    Em xx

    Em xx

    ha ha, no I didn't, tbh I threw them on then thought they are too baggy so thre them in the wardrobe. I'll have a proper go with them tonight. Our next door neighbour knocked on while I had them on and by the time I ran to the door they were nearly around my ankles :eek:. We do not live in that sort of neighbourhood :rotfl:.

    Well we are pregnancy twins so I guess I should expect us to have the identical mat clothes, let me guess....you are going for a millie and Boris nursery too??? :)

    Fuzz - I know, I can't believe it is 15 weeks already too. It dragged up to the scan but now time is flying. Plus, the fact that I forget I am PG the majority of the time doesn't help :o.

    Fingers crossed for you Sarah.

    Good morning ladies

    Sarahangel - good luck at the hospital. Fingers crossed bubs is all well and just being a bit lazy.

    Fuzz - good birth plan :)

    I'm doing my first car boot sale this weekend - so currently working through the spare room to get rid of the junk. This seems to be taking ages!

    Oh, and it looks like I've got a job. It's pretty ideal actually - 2 days a week, fairly local, decent rate of pay, they know I'm preggers and fixed term contract til end of Feb :j:j

    Hi all.

    Sarah fingers firmly crossed for you hon.

    I'm still stressing a bit myself as I'm nearly 27 weeks and still not feeling much in the way of movement :( . I did see the midwife last Friday and she listened to the h/beat ad it sounded fine and said she could hear movement..just wish I could feel a bit more.

    We have so much stuff sitting in the nursery, I just don't think I could bear it if anything went wrong.

    Sorry for the NMA.

    Fuzz that birth plan looks great. Very similar to what I'd like. What's the story with the vitamin K injection? I don't know anything about that.

    I'm on a days holiday today, waiting for the remainder of my Mothercare delivery which is turning out to be more than a bit of a pain in the ar5e. Half of it turned up on weds, part of it wrong, and the remaining part that was due today (hence the day off), only 1 item is actually coming as they've cocked up.

    So I have the bugaboo fabric bits, but no base unit, which they reckon I've already had..which I haven't, so now that needs re-ordering along with the cot bed, which they sent me a cot top changer instead of...:mad:

    So disappointing and annoying.

    My bump doesn't feel so big today either. Bumps do go up and down a bit though don't they...?

    I think my hormones have gone haywire.
