Bizzarre. The post I put on earlier has vanished without a trace. Wonder if I can remember all of it.....I'll give it a go.
2GFM - I think we must be bump buddies. How's your sickness now. Mine's a bit up and down (scuse the pun) which I can live with.
Can't remember who helped with my question on growth charts. ThanksI got confused because after my first scan a graph was bunged in my notes. At my next MW appointment she asked about growth charts and I said 'Oh, is this it?' The reply was 'No. Your growth chart will be at page blah, and this is page not blah so it's not' At least I know for next time now
Huuuge congrats to Rach, ethelsmum and dream.
Love the bedding MV. Might have to investigate that a bit. I saw some fish wallpaper in a pub I liked but was too shy to ask where they got it from.
I'm always dubious about the whole 'once you've had it, you're immune to it' stuff. I had chicken pox and measles more than once, so am extra careful.
Shazza - I have baby panic too every time I go into Mothercare or the baby aisles at Tesco. I look at things and I have to run away.
Well, think that's everything, sorry for the long post. Hope it works this time
Hope everyone has a lovely evening. If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
Milo about 30 minutes old.
Milo about 10 days old (still in hospital but out of SCBU)
Congratulations Rach and Dream.
Well done all!
By the way, I'm just going to brag that I'm enjoying a nice glass of wine which I couldn't stand whilst pregnant! Oh, and Milo is 15 days old and I've just tried my pre preg jeans on and they fit (OK , a little tight but they fasten!)Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -

Loving all the bump pictures
I can't believe that Tadpole is the size of a naval orange now! I brought some today from the greengrocers and when I put it up to my belly it seems hugeOH chuckled and said "wait until its the size of a watermelon" yes thanks for that
I went to Mamas and Papas and Mothercare today for a look round. Oh my goodness what an absolute minefieldon earth do you know where to start? It was all a bit overwhelming for me I have to say and I felt like a bit of a fraud walking round as everyone else had very noticeable bumps or small babies and I just looked like a flabby woman walking round
I picked up a catalogue so I can look at things at home until after our 20 week scan and can go back and be one of those ladies walking round rubbing their bumps proudly
One tip for M&Ps is keep your eyes peeled for the sale. Register on the website....they sent me a £5 voucher (no min spend) but it was only valid for a month, so you might want to wait a bit. I also registered in store and got sent a £5 gift voucher in the post. And today I bought a top and got a £10 off £20 spend for November. Since I've been going to M&Ps they've had 2 sales and also seem to have 10% off pushchairs quite regularly.
My next purchasing dilemma is a mattress. Anyone got any tips on how to choose one? They seem to vary so much in price.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
I don't like you anymore blonde
We just sorted some stuff out in our built in wardrobe... Hidden at the back was a huge bag of clothes from before my last pregnancy... That I never made it back in to... Maybe I'll manage it after this one...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Oooh thanks for that Giz. I loved the cots and furniture sets they had in there but they were expensive so I'd definitely need to try and get some kind of discount lined up if I am going to talk OH into geting any nursery stuff from there
Congratulations BudgetBlonde - Milo is absolutely adorable glad to hear he is out of SCBU nowOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Oh budgetblonde, he's a little darling!!!
Congrats to birdie too!!! And anyone else I missed!!!
I haven't been brave enough to venture round a baby shop yet, I too think I would feel a bit of a fraud as my bump is just looking a bit like just flab and not obviously a pregnancy bump.
Been on the web and it really is a mine field. OH is 6'3" and I am 5'2" so we need to find a pushchair/pram we can both push, although i suspect it will be hardly touched by OH!!! We plan to head to the Glasgow pram centre as I am led to believe it is pretty huge with all sorts of makes/models etc so you can test them.
I love the idea of doing a spreadsheet with all the "essentials" and their costs. I have had soooo much "advice" from folk already about what to get and not to get.. The joys, I'm sure we will all get loads more and the majority is welcomed!!!!:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0
