I bet mine's worse than yours GFH lol...
I have a pretty huge bump already at 18 weeks... But it's all belly... I can barely feel the baby part when I'm lying down...
On the plus side, it's moving a lot more now
Sorry to hear your midwives were so ignorant and patronising Dream, but congratulations on a safe arrivalA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

You can do topiary on a few trees/bushes. Just your bog standard box hedge is quite common for topiary. I've got a bay leaf in a pot that's been shaped like a pyramid (or it was when I got it - i'm not the best gardener). They come shaped like a tree with a ball on top too (iyswim).Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

We must get one. If you get box topiary, be prepared to feed it or it will go yellow.dreambirdie wrote: »one thing i will say ladies is dont be quiet. make sure the midwives are listening to you and dont let them palm you off. i had to go to hospital 3 times before they would admit me and after reading my notes either they didnt listen or i didnt make it clear enough about the pain i was in or how many days without sleep i had went. it acutally says contractions in inverted commas on my notes! they didnt wouldnt even do a trace to confirm them.
it left me with a marathon labour which ended up needing a vaccuum delivery. there was no way in hell i was ever going to get the baby out myself considering how tired and doped up i was by the time it got to pushing stage. i just wish they had of listened to me a bit more and i wouldnt be left feeling like i could never go through it again. i just feel like things could have been so much better. on the plus side i did get the must cutest baby in the world so i suppose how he got here doesnt really matter.
silly twits, will you complain? I won't do a birth plan as the boogers never read them! But I'm quite good at having a strop:rotfl:Krystaltips wrote: »I bet mine's worse than yours GFH lol...

Congrats to all the new mummies here.
Was up early today (and managed to drag OH out too) to go to our local NCT sale. Really disappointed though and came out empty-handed, it was heaving, like a jumble sale, a lot of the stuff looked far from nearly-new and not worth the price. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Yayy - congrats to MS12, Rach, Ethelsmum, Dreambirdie and anyone else I've missed!! It seems like everyone due at the same time as me is going early! Feeling a bit left out now.
Dream, I've been lurking for ages to see if you had gone (am not a mad stalker honest!). I'm sorry you had a bad time at the hospital but I'll bet Eoghan is helping make you feel a bit better. That said - I'd consider making a complaint of some sort to them - it's ridiculous that they wouldn't listen to you. I read your post out to DH so that he knows he has to start shouting if I can't!! Can't wait to see pics of your wee fella!
PGP has gotten worse in the last week. Sleeping is becoming impossible, walking from the living room to the kitchen is as much as I can manage now. Am starting to worry about how to get this baby out considering I can't open my legs very far. Am definately going to have to mention this at hospital apptmt next week - assuming I make it that far! (Secretly hoping all the early births on here may make baby hurry up and come out!!). I'm sorry for moaning considering how long it has taken to get us this far but am terrified of something going wrong of of the PGP not going away afterwards (and it really hurts).
Hope everyone is doing ok!0 -
