  • Hiya Legs :)

I think I feel something at times, but it really still only feels a bit like wind if I'm honest!

I did get to hear the h/beat last week though, so that put my mind at rest. I have my 25 week midwife appt next Friday too, so will hopefully get to hear it again then :)

    Morning All!

Hope everyone feeling good! Good luck for today Rach!

Got my 16 week appt this afternoon, hoping to hear a good heartbeat! Have been feeling quite a few 'flutterings' recently so unless I imagined them all should be well!

    DM11 x

I had my 16 week appointment this morning, but my mw said she wasn;t going to try to listen to babies heartbeat incase she couldn't find it, So i told her its not a problem, i have a doppler at home and have already listened to it this morning, and never have a problem finding it.
Everything else is ok, and don't need to go back to see her til i'm 27 weeks...seems like ages away :-)

Good luck Rach and to those having scans today.

Labour vibes to those wanting them :)

edit....and when someone gets a moment, would they mind amending my due date to the 7th March. Those 2 days make all the difference :)

  • Hi MV I remember just feeling around my bump straight after my 20 week scan and I got an almighty dig from the baby which genuinely shocked me! Must have poked them in the face or something...
Maybe you haven't been annoying bubs enough????
  • Hiya ladies :D

So, am about 34/35 ish weeks, and DD was off yesterday as she had a cold.
Took her back today, and how many people do you think said one of the following:
    • oh we didn't see you yesterday, assumed you were having the baby
    • still here then
    • not had the baby
    • still pregnant I see

    etc etc :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I CANNOT be doing with this for another 5-7 weeks!!!!!!!!!! :D

Hmm, she listened to the heartbeat at 16 weeks last time, that was about 2.5 years ago, I wonder if it depends on the area. I hope she does because I dont have doppler :(

Gosh 27 weeks does seem like ages away! Is this your first? I read somewhere that its only first time mums that get the 25 week (ish) appointment with midwife.

Good luck Rach and good luck to all the other ladies with scans today!!

    Welcome Peaches:j

Ladylegs- im glad its not just me and hubby that are sleeping sepereatly at the moment. I think it has saved our marriage in the last 6 weeks - he is such a light sleeper that me getting up 6-10 times a night meant he hardly slept and was the most miserable grumpy person ever. We just make sure we go to bed an hour earlier and cuddle up in bed and watch tv together before he disappears to the spare room. :)

I have been stressing about names this week. We have 2 boys names and 1 that i know i prefer, but i dont LOVE either of them. I have 3 girls names that i LOVE and 1 that i really favour, but it is quiet an unusual name and we have a family friend who has a daughter with the name which makes me wonder whether to go for it, or one of the other 2 that is more 'original' and we dont know anyone with them??? hmmm?? its so hard!

They just don't think. I really feel for you xx.
I had it with dd2 (who is now almost 3). I went 2 weeks over and had been having those comments for at least 4 weeks before my due date. It got to the point that i refused to take my ds into the school grounds as i just couldn't take it anymore.
Stick a sign on your head saying "no, i've not had it yet!"

It could just be my midwife, she is lovely though and i think if i didn't have a doppler i may have made her try to find the heartbeat.
This will be my 4th:eek:, thats why i dont need to go back for a while:D

Rach All the best for today:)

Tink Pillows are good - one under head, one under bump and one fat squidgy one between legs;).:rotfl: Sometimes I think the duvet is too heavy and use a fleecy blanket. Make sure your room is well ventillated and wind down slowly - physically and mentally. My OH used a massage oil on my back last night which got rid of tension and then he went to sleep in the other room:D...We've done this since I've been heavily pregnant - I am a fidgit and he always wakes when I go to the loo 4 times a night. Sleep is really important so it's worth it. I sleep much better and so does he so everyone's stress levels are low...we still have the cuddles in evening/morning so intimacy isn't compromised.

    Thanks LL x
