Hi peaches, welcome! I'll add you to the list a bit later on if no one else has done it (just about to watch a dvd).
This is a great thread, I'd be lost without everyone here!

Now feel like after a bath and a think that I have some levity on it all. I do know that natural would be best for all kinds of reasons and if they think that can be done then I will try it. But I will be asking questions tomorrow to be sure! My sister in law just said 'you'll probably have a really easy time of it after all this', which I've been wondering too!

On a positive, the man in the spar is convinced it's a girl as I look so well lol!! 'bright' he said. Apparently that's their cultural belief.

Apologies, there was another thread and we talked about the wonderful world of the far north and I didn't get back to you!!!

Isn't it a small world. I loved living up north. It is and always will be home!! I used to live about 4 miles from Thurso out west but was a lady who lunched in the bistro/Pentland.

Where about were you in the county??

I am 14+4 today and suffering from heartburn and severe lack of sleep which isn't helped by working nights and 12 hour shifts!!! Well seen that come next Monday I have 3 weeks off to make a start of sorting out the house!

Arrghh, I am having a dilemma over names at the moment! Is anyone else? We had a shortlist of names and now hubby is not sure if he likes them!!

I'm 4 days overdue and we still haven't agreed on a boys name - although we have got it down to a choice of 2.

it's girls names for us. I like Ava but DH doesn't, he likes Jessica but i keep thinking of who frames rodger rabbit and chloe but that used to be my cats name so we have ruled both out. I have 2 girls and I thought I would 'want' a boy but on thinking about it I thing a 3rd girl would actually be easier considering my two are currently 2 and 3 and will be 2 and 4 when this one arrives. I know what i'm doing with girls. Boys are a total new experience

Evening ladies (and gents),

I had my 20 wk scan today at 20+3 and everything is fine and we are team Yellow.

One thing I wondered is anyone else classed as a high risk pregnancy and if you are how many times did you see the consultant or midwife? As I did not see any one today. I saw the consultant at my 12 week appointment then the midwife at 16 weeks I next see the midwife at 24 weeks then consultant at about 31 weeks. I just feel like I'm hardly seeing anyone extra at all. Plus I had an echocardiogram and they still havn't got the results and it was over 2 weeks. grrrrrrrr.

We have no definite boys name either!! 3 that are ok, but none that we love!

Feel exhausted tonight, and a bit sick and headachey, guess just quite a stressful and emotionally draining day! Hopefully I will get good sleep tonight as I have to be up and phone the labour ward at 8 to see what time they can see me.

To make things slightly more complicated, dh is now saying he's not sure if he will be able to take 2 full weeks pat leave as he will be winding up his job, should be handing in notice end of this week/early next, and he's also told the new place he can go in a couple of days before he starts. I guess all this is fine if the baby comes (one way or the other) before or around due date, but if it is very late we could have problems.

OTE - wish I knew what I wanted, i thought I did but now everyone is saying 'oh yes, natural delivery is best' etc so I now don't know!! Not sure re high risk, my sis is the same with her 2nd preg and was v surprised when consultant didn't want to see her for ages!
