Morning all.

Grumpy today ...trapped a nerve in my back yesterday and struggling to get comfy. Took some paracetamol through the night and again this morning but not convinced it's helping. Any ideas for pain relief?

We have our next scan on Friday at 21+2. Had an extra scan at 17 weeks due to a high AFP result in the triple test. Everything looked fine then and baby is moving around lots so feeling positive at the mo.

I'm another NE Scotland lady so they won't tell us the flavour...we'll leave it to fate I think rather than pay for the private scan. What are the chances of DH and I spotting this without the help of the sonographer?

I have my scan tomorrow Claire, I am 21 + 3, strangely enough though Inverness have started telling the sex - they never used too! I always was led to believe you had to go to Aberdeen to find out previously - but that could have been privately. I am hoping to find out the flavour! DH would rather not know - but since the whole thing has been a huge surprise I feel justified in finding out! Whats the bets it decides to hide its bits! I think it might be boy coloured - I was right the last twice so wonder if I will make 3 out of 3 (although secretly would quite love to have another little girl )

Poor you Dreambirdie - hopefully it will really kick off soon though!

Kat, these people will make a mattress to any size you want and their prices look fairly reasonable. Their advice section looks quite good too and it might be worth filling in the enquiry form to see what they say about what size would be best.

Well, I woke up in a bit of a panic in the early hours of this morning. I've not had backache throughout this pregnancy (apart from a bit of sciatica early on), but at 1am I was wide awake with my lower back in agony and pulses of even worse pain. I got up to go to the loo and it eased off, but started up again as soon as I got back in bed. I was panicking that this was the start of labour (nooooo, I'm not ready yet!!:eek:) but I eventually managed to get back to sleep and all was fine this morning. Has anyone else had this? I'm wondering now if this might have been braxton hicks? I've never felt anything like it before.

And then I was rudely awakened at 6:30am by excruciating leg cramp. So I'm a tired bunny today

Morning all,

Still no sign for me!!! Currently drinking RLT and going to buy some pineapples later and make a pineapple tikka massala with extra spice to see if that helps. OH is fast asleep so no chance for the other option. lol

Labour vibes/congrats to everyone on their way or already enjoying their new arrivals.

Noticed ethelsmum has not been on, hoping she's having mummy cuddles. xxx

The last 2 nights ive been awake from 2ish til 6ish with pains, slightly upset stomach, stomach tightening and what felt like a few contractions each night, then i fall asleep and wake up and its all stopped. Though this morning i have woken up feeling like my whole bump is so tight and tense its uncomfortable to breath and i feel sick - usually when ive had this tightening it comes and goes not lasting for more than a few minutes - but its been like this constantly for 2 hours - anyone else had this?:(
