That's how I was first. I could not wait to find out. But I slowly changed my mind. Since the 20 weeks scan, I don't feel the need anymore. My OH has gone the opposite way, first he wasn't too bothered, now he wants to go for the private scan to find out.
We might just end up booking a private scan in the next few weeks?

Hi all,

I thought I would step out of the shadows and stop lurking and ask to be put on the EDD list. My due date is 19 Jan 2011.

Congrats BB - so tiny but perfectly formed!!

MOTM - a couple of friends of mine had private gender scans at around 16 weeks for about £80, I think thats the earliest they do it privately but it may depend on where you live.

Had a relaxing day of doing not much and now feel even more tired! Getting nervous for my 20 week scan now on Wednesday and still undecided whether to find out the flavour or not as I don't want to be disappointed if its not what I think it is (if that makes any sense).
I suppose I'll decide whilst I'm there as OH has no real preference either whether to find out. Decisions. decisions.

Last question re: mattress- if i've measured the base from side to side as 125cm x 55cm i obviously allow i few cms less so that it fits properly so say 120x 50cm? or would the 117 x 54cm be ok?

We were thinking about a trip up to Aberdeen, 3d scan and some Christmas shopping. TYou can't get a 3d in Dundee

When you say measured the base do you mean the base of the cot or the base of any matress that your parents kept??

Anyway not to confuse you but out cotbeds are 140 x 70 matressed but the actual cot bed base is 144 x 77
