I don't really have any specific needs - I would just like one that I can use the car seat in the pram and then unclick it and click it into the car, as we only have a 3 door and the boot isn't very big! I'm happy to get one from Boots online if I can just understand it all!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

thanks fuzz - money is a good idea, neither of us ever have cash, we both spend on card all the time, though I've been keeping some cash here this week just in case I need anything as I can't get as far as the machine! Going to pick up some tissues and lipbalm for DH when I'm out as I need to go to the Sainsburys next to the doctors anyway, he gets really weird if he has no lip balm (and has to be his own one), and the last thing I need is him stressing in hospital! There is a sainsburys right next to the hosp too which is useful
Right, I'd better go as appointment at 3.15 and I'm not exactly fast these days.......
Lilian - sir monster got a maxi cosy streety i think as she didn't have loads of space, she seems to really like it and little Thomas certainly looked comfy! I have gone for a maclaren xt from birth as I use public transport a lotMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Blimey you are a chatty bunch – I can’t keep up!
Glad to hear that all went well at your appointments Giz & MV
Sorry to hear you need a break Welshlassie hopefully see you back soon *hugs*
MV I have been having problems with my ear too – funnily enough my left. It keeps feeling as if it has popped and I can hear myself breathing in it, a bit like when you have a cold. It’s really starting to get on my nerves and has been like it for about a week – I wasn’t sure if it was related to being pregnant? Is what yours has been like?
As for me – am having some really strong cramps today which are quite uncomfortable, not sure if it’s because things aren’t moving down there that well at the moment IYKWIMI’m also finding that the Yawning Monster seems to invade my body sometime during the day between 2 – 3pm as am constantly yawning my head off at work
It’s good to read all these birth plans even though I have ages till I will need to write one, it’s good to see what people put in them. I like to be prepared and have an idea of what information you need to provide
Hugs to all those that need them at the moment

Hi all, hope you're all keeping well.
Ethelsmum - labour vibes to you
I'm due tomorrow (had serious cramps yesterday so did wonder if it would happen last night but no)... and just found out someone at work who was due exactly a month after me had her baby girl on Tuesday! She wasn't finishing work till the end of the month either!
Can't decide whether I wish bump was here or not, on one hand I'm enjoying the rest as the weight of bump is starting to get uncomfortable, but if they were here I wouldn't have the weight in the first place! And the stretch marks which have only appear in the last couple of weeks are becoming really red and multiplying rapidly (I thought I'd managed to keep them at bay but no)
Love n hugs to all xxx
I know what you mean - I am so fed up and want baby here now but then on the other hand I can sleep when I want and rest etc.
I so hope this baby is here over the weekend though - if I get another text, fb message, phone call etc asking "any sign?" I will scream. Even oh phoned me this morning and first thing he said was "any pains?" - as if I wouldn't have let him know lol.
I keep getting what feels like contractions but they only last for a few minutes and then stop .

Same here! How odd! It's generally only when I'm trying to get to sleep and it's more that I can hear the rush of blood in my head than my own breathing - but it is my left ear.
Have we just discovered a new pregnancy symptom?!
By the way, if anyone is going to the Baby Show at Earls Court in October, I have a voucher to get a free MAM bottle - it's in the Prima Baby magazine this month, I won't be using it so if anyone wants it just PM me.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Hi ladies,
Just had a quick skim through but hope everyone's okay.
Just a quick update: Raphe has lost about 8% of his birth weight which is perfect but is less good at having poos so we need to keep an eye on this. He is a very contented young man and actually manages to go from about 11.30 til 4 til 7 through the night followed by a big sleep in the morning (oh, and then another one in the afternoon :rotfl:). I know it's very early days but he does seem a very chilled out dude. Some problems with tummy ache which isn't nice but hope this will pass once he gets the hang of having a poo a bit more.
Stuff I found extremely useful for hospital was a sleep mask and ear plugs (cotton wool balls) for on the ward as it was quite light and noisy through the night and lots of instant release energy snacks/drinks for immediately after the birth as a cup of tea and a couple of slices of toast didn't even come close to picking me up again. I had a cheese sandwich, a small pack of biscuits and some fresh fruit juice with me and if I had to chose between having those and having say maternity pads or nappies with me, I'd go with the food.
Birth plans are useful but don't agonise for hours over them as birth is very unpredictable and it is possible to have a dialogue with your mw throughout. Raphe's birth was so fast that the mw had to ask me everything including really important stuff like rhesus status and allergies.
If I think of any other pearls of wisdom I'll pop on and share. This week I have mostly been in bed or feeding, often both at the same time (clever like that, me) and by having that time (and being allowed to have thanks to an ace hubby) I have bounced back pretty quickly.
Today I walked to the health centre which is about a mile there and back. Still have a little bit of SPD but it is definitely on the back foot now :T Next step will be to reclaim my fitness, I actually had a stitch by the end of our not very long street :rotfl:
Much love to all xxxUpdating soon...0 -
