So nice to just be sitting here in pjs and not having to go anywhere. I've loved all my friends taking me for coffee this week but hibernating is what I want to do!! I do need to finish the church mag today but it's only some cutting and pasting and a bit of formatting so should only take an hour.

also must must must finish birth plan and hospital bag!!!

    Thanks Rach

I was thinking of ordering some fitted cot sheets and flat sheets from there....is the service really that bad?
Not so much 'bad' as they are slow! If you're in a rush I woulnd't bother tbh!
I ordered mine on the 6th, it got 'processed'(payment taken) on the 10th, 16th the order is 'prepared', must've been late coz I checked the website before I left work and it was still on 'processed'! and now I'm waiting for it to say 'dispatched' which will be god knows how long!
But tbh for the price it is worth the wait unless you're in a rush of course:D The items I've paid £6 for, if bought without discount would've cost me £21:T

Although saying that, I'm now looking through the catalogue again as we got sent an offer for a free changing bag (much nicer than the Boots one!) and £10 off £20 so I'm going to get my mum to order as it's for new customers only.

Lillian is there a special code for the free bag? had a look on the website and the give out 4701 but that is just for the £10 off and free postage. I got the boot one the other day, buuuut would happily get another if I could :T

Giz when you do finally get your boots voucher you don't have to buy size 1 nappies, I bought new born size 3's - havea feeling I may not need size 1's - with DD2 I had to send DH to supermarket very quickly to get bigger ones - she had builders bum in the size 1's :rotfl::rotfl:
    DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

    DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

  • Thanks guys.

Whilst I was at the Dr's she looked in my left ear as it has been blocking up recently. It is completely blocked now and she has given me some ear drops which have made me go totally deaf in that ear now..not nice :(

Has anyone ever tried those Hopi candles you can use in your ear to clear blockages?

Giz glad all went well with your check up too :)

Yep - it's 3708. It's a gorgeous bag - lemon and a kind of mint green with sheep on it. I think you have to order from the autumn/winter collection and you can't order anything already discounted.

MV, glad all is well with babs, often the best thing for blocked ears is a few drops of almond oil before bed, put in some cotton wool and the wax gets loosen over night.

Bigbird, I have been worrying about heating and keeping the baby warm too, I live in a cold, draughty house and it rarely feels toasty even with the heating on. I know in olden times people didn't have central heating, so must have managed somehow.

Gems- I don't have any advice on the contractions /feelings, but we're all here with you so you're not alone as such!

I have just spoken with my Gran who told me that her grandmother had 13 babies and she used to say that 'there's no such thing as a late baby, just a baby that comes when it's ready'. I was thinking with courgette's situation how true that was!

Midwife is at 3.15 so think I will have a bath first. DH is picking up the tommee tippee newborn set for me at lunchtime, bless him. I will just keep it in the box in case we need it for expressing etc. He has 2 pregnant women in his office (there are only about 6 of them in the office), apparently yesterday one of them was showing off some nappies she'd got, and DH said 'don't show me that, my house is full of that !!!!!!'...which just made me laugh, poor bloke can't get away from it!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope to see you back here soon Welshlassie.

    MV -
    Glad all went well.

Its my due date today and no sign of baby:(. My last 2 were both born on their due dates and I woke up the morning of due date in labour - so I already feel overdue.

Hi all, hope you're all keeping well.

Ethelsmum - labour vibes to you

I'm due tomorrow (had serious cramps yesterday so did wonder if it would happen last night but no)... and just found out someone at work who was due exactly a month after me had her baby girl on Tuesday! She wasn't finishing work till the end of the month either!

Can't decide whether I wish bump was here or not, on one hand I'm enjoying the rest as the weight of bump is starting to get uncomfortable, but if they were here I wouldn't have the weight in the first place! And the stretch marks which have only appear in the last couple of weeks are becoming really red and multiplying rapidly (I thought I'd managed to keep them at bay but no :( )

Love n hugs to all xxx
