  • Just a quick one to say i'm unlikely to be around much over the next few weeks. I've really struggled over the last few weeks (which has probably contributed to the rows that DH and I are having) with my pain levels and mood. Have had a very bad day today and spent most of it in tears so have been back to the doctors who have put me back on Prozac. As a result I'm going to take a break from the board and try and get back on track.

Wishing everyone well and labour/birth vibes etc to everyone who needs them and congratulations to everyone who has just given birth Gena and Courgette.

I bought the huggies starter packs in the Asda Baby Event (about 4 months ago) and they were £3. Inside there were 2 vouchers. One was for £1 off any Huggies newborn nappies (which all checkout assistants took against the starter packs) and one voucher for £2 off Huggies swim pants. I handed over both vouchers when doing a shop with the newborn starter kit among the groceries and most checkout assistant scanned both vouchers and they were taken off the total.

I'm p!ssing myself laughing here at I didn't Know I was Pregnant on Discovery Home & Health. A woman got up to go to the loo in the middle of the night and delivered twins into her toilet! Does that make me evil?

If anyone wants to watch it, it'll be on Home & Health+1 at 10pm.
  • I think my mum swaps round who is her favourite and that is between my brother, his fiance and my sister. Im never the favourite. I don't understand why parents have favourites. I worry about our baby in that when he is older he may pick up on my nieces been the favourite and i dont want him to be hurt. We live about 200 miles away from dh mum, which is a shame, she would treat our baby equally like she does with my sister in law children. I would say that i actually feel that my mil cares more about me than my own mum. Thanks lepoard lady and make it 3.

  • Hi there,

Been busy this week so mainly lurked. Quick update - Back in July on the day I got BFP my OH had a funny turn at work and so I took him to hospital. He had some weird visual effects and then lost 25% of his vision in his right eye. He has had CT scans and MRI's since. This wednesday we went to see a consultant who informed us that it was a stroke that caused the visual problem, and that the MRI revealed that he has actually suffered 2 strokes within his visual cortex, one on each hemisphere. Joy! So OH is 38 and has survived 2 strokes. He is now on 4 types of medication daily for the rest of his life. He has also been told to lose weight, and stop drinking (OH used to have 1-2 bottles of wine a night, but never even got tipsy) so now I have a grumpy, sleepy OH who is not coping well with all his new medication, feeling ill, and headachey. Sorry for the self indulgent moan but am peed off that he has been dealt another bad hand by life. He has been through so much in his life and just as everything starts looking up he gets kicked back down. The worst thing is he feels like he is letting me down which is just daft. I am just grateful that he is alive and relatively well. Wil stop moaning now promise. :D

Sweaty Betty - My hospital like to talk through an epidural for induction as it is more requested during inductions (apparently) but is useful for emergency section as they can usually top it up to be used as a spinal tap for the c section. HTH

love and hugs to all who'd like them, am off to try and find some form of chocolate to cheer me up.

  • Saw the Dr earlier and baby is fine..heard heartbeat :)

she said not to worry, I should start feeling movements soon as we could hear him moving about with the doppler.
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,

MV glad everything was ok at the midwife apt.

My head is all over the place. one half of me is totally fed up being pregnant and all that goes with it. i cant wait for bubs to arrive etc. the other half of me is secretly hoping i go overdue because ive just realised i feel nowhere near ready for a baby  i think i have went mad. i dont know what i want at all. so now i will most probably go overdue because i said that and will probably spend the next few weeks misrable. :(
