I've got to go to Poole tomorrow and wait for an induction (not sure why, mind, both the doctors I saw yesterday said section) and be admitted.
MW did a sweep (yuck) and now I feel a bit funny. My mum has decided I should have the monsters tonight because they miss me (ie she doesn't want to!) don't know what will happen if I go into labour today thenGod knows why MW did a sweep (she didn't even tell me she was planning to till she was in there, or I'd have said no!) when I'm going to be admitted in the morning :wall:

Hugs Delain, that's pants for you but you sound like you have taken the news brilliantly and at least it's going to get sorted quickly.
Sending baby moving vibes to Smartie, or at least "good luck with the CS"
I have sent a friend request to EK - assume it's you?
Just had the most useless !!!! of a dr at my 34 week appointment. I'm mw led but because I have a history of depression they have referred me to hospital to make sure I'm OK. She was about 12, and must have been a size 2 if that, could hardly move the equipment around. Couldn't find a tape measure and then went out and came back with one of those paper ikea ones, then put the bp machine on wrong, then was too scared to touch my pubic bone and tried to listen to the hb without switching the machine on. In the end she got the registrar to come and help (she did say she was new, to be fair) but seriously what a waste of a morning and now I'm back at work having to catch up.
Anyway, Bellymonkey is about 5 1/4 lbs and has moved to have its back along my left side which apparently is good. :TBellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
delain your mum sounds as much help as mine, did I mention she has booked a holiday for when the baby is due, apparently us having a baby and christmas are wrecking havoc with her always having a holiday in december and no ones getting any presents this year because she can't be bothered with the rush when she gets back from her holiday.0

She has done a lot for me just recently, and I'm grateful, i'd be fine if she wanted to bring them round to see me for the whole day, or her stay the night here so we can get to hospital but I got the distinct impression from talking to her that it was for her benefit not the monsters!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

At least she is helping out I suppose. Mine had the kids for her once a year weekend this weekend. She picked them up sat after work and said she would bring them home monday lunchtime. They were banging on the door at 9am lol She did say no wonder you are tired the boy doesn't sleep, she kept them up till 10pm hoping they would lie in, heard DS playing at 2:30am and turned the light off and told him to go to sleep then he was up at 6am lol. He is not that bad at home but she doesn't like him so I'm not too keen on them going anyway. Don't think she is happy about new baby being a boy and OH and I are and thats all the matters. TBH though if things don't improve its quite possible we'll be moving to plymouth in a year or 2 because we will get more help down there. She was fantastic when DD was born and had her once a week. I don't necessarily want her to have the kids but to be invited over once in a while would be nice but they complain whenever anyone goes to visit and it puts you off.0 -
Hiya ladies just a quick catch up.
Delain hope all goes well which ever way she decides to come out :-) x
Tinks i always had to use my pillow when we dtd or i was in horrendous pain after i used to shove it between my knees when spooning or used it to support my hips and bump when on all fours :-)
Budget they always issue you with an ikea style tape measure round here so they can use the same one for every measurement. That woman sounds completely pants though it doesnt inspire confidence when she doesnt even know to turn the equipment on!
Loads of turning, stay put and labour vibes for all the ladies that need them :-) xx:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Please feel free to shower us with pics xmasBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120

Budget that sounds horrible, and i thought my 18 wk appointment was bad!! At the end of the day you want a professional with that much influence over what happens to you to come across as a professional that knows what they are doing!! The MW i saw at 18 weeks asked me if she was measuring me properly and was shakey and uncertain when she went to take my blood - didnt do it properly and i felt like a pin cushion by the end of the appointment, almost passed out and ended up in the blood clinic - she was so nervous!!
I dont know whats going on with me again today- im craving Red wine - i havent been missing alcohol at all but now cant wait for a glass of red wine..... does anyone know if its ok to have a small amounts of alcohol when you are breast feeding?Baby No.1 due 27/9/10

This thing now will probably put the stoppers on us moving. we were going to be moving to Cornwall but now I feel like I really do need to stay near the family, as OH's family don't really know me, and my nan, ex mil and my mum spend a lot of time with the monsters so I suppose it's fairer on them to stay here.
I'm just writing to my local free paper about how good the DVT/emergency clinic have been and how nice the staff are. I hope they publish it!
Smartie the lady wasn't English and didn't listen to a word I said anyway :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
