Got my midwife appointment at 13:45.

Also managed to win a pair of jeans and 2 trousers on ebay. Hoping the trousers will fit so I can wear them to hen do. Still need a top...all my tops are corset style and don't fit. Only got 10 days to get one :(

  • Had very strange dreams last night, dreamt I didn't feed the baby for two days as it didn't cry, then when I did feed it the milk was banana milkshake with rice in it - how strange !! Grumbly pains all night but nothing yet - I've been told the sweep can take 48 hours to work, here's hoping, going to have a shower as my hair is standing on end and then go for a long walk.

Vibes to everyone and good luck to delain
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:

Glad I've been in someones dreams Gena!! ;););)

    Completely emotionallly drained this morning:o:(

Will be seeing a man about moxibustion tomorrow hopefully BUT consultant said the head is firmly stuck in my ribs:eek: It'll be a bloody miracle if he turns but I'm going to try everything!

I'm quite liking the idea of PLANNED section (although I was supposed to avoid it) as then I can get everything planned, it'll be before DS goes back to school etc etc. Terrified of being rushed in for emergency:o

Do I need to change any items in my hospital bag for section anyone???

Nene... baby aint shifting as there's no fight with baby smartbubbles for the pool anymore;):p:p

    morning everyone

sorry the turning didn't work smartie x

Delain I bet its a relief to know what is going on rather than having no clue and all the better for catching it early on.

starjumper good luck today when you speak to the midwife.

Giz good luck at midwives later xx

DS didn't get up till 7:30 this morning which is fantastic and never happens so I actually feel like I slept last night yay. I'm gonna make the most of the extra energy I have and the fact its looking a bit sunny out and take them to the massive park with a lake, feed the ducks, walk round the lake then rest on a bench whilst they play in the play park bit.
Hope everyone has a good day x

    Morning all.

Just trying to get some breakfast down, and stay down.

When I went into the front bedroom this morning (currently dumping ground for decorating things and tools and whatever else doesn't yet have a home) I thought 'Ought to tidy up a bit as it's looking a bit messy'. I've not felt like tidying or doing housework in over 2 months, so it's quite a nice feeling. If this breakfast stays put I might just do some housework today :D

smartie don't think you need anything too different, just more stuff. So more clothes for you and baby, more nappies etc cos you'll be in for 3 days probably after section, and snacks because the portions in hospital are not big enough to feed my kids. A planned section is way way better than an emergency one. I've had no problem with either of mine and it is great for OH getting time of work, organising childcare etc

Oh no. I know it's early to start thinking about things but I really want a water birth. And our hospital only has one pool. I had it in my head that I could hire one for some reason and turns out it's not the case. So now I feel my only option is a home birth with a pool and OH is so against it - not to mention I think mum will hit the ceiling.

Yep totally agree with this, but don't worry about packing more maternity towels as you don't get the same level of bleeding :D well, I didn't anyway :D

Best bet might be to have a second bag with your longer term bits-the extra clothes etc that you can get brought in after 24 hours-they hate any sort of excess luggage :D

Remembering anything you were planning to take for labour you won't actually need as you won't actually be labouring...........

Smartie - I took in some flapjacks to snack on, and got my OH to bring in a sandwich and packet of crisps every day as I was guaranteed to not like at least 1 meal on the menu each day lol. OH took in Pot Noodles, as he could use the tea making facilities to knock one up.

Oh and I took Ipod with film on it for when I was bored (DD slept loads) and listened to the music when I wanted to sleep whilst the other mums on the ward were nattering. :D
