I'm going to say that he still might move for you (keep with the poking!). That's because I'm feeling ok today so I have a little bit of optimism hanging around (eg, we will manage to finish decorating our bedroom before sproglet is born) and want to share it with you. :D
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:
  • Morning everyone.

Labour vibes for nene and mlsl, hope things move soon . .

Smartie I do hope bubs moves but I very much doubt it, at least you will know when bubs will come and you know that the delights (!!) of being pregnant won't drag out too long.

Feeling really heavy at the mo, even though I'm small for dates def feels like bubs is down in my foof as need the toilet a lot more and finding it hard to get comfy, really hope I haven't got long left . .

I need relaxing low b/p vibes have been taking it at home and went quite low last night but has risen again. Decided to try to get to hospital early, relax and read a newspaper also take my meds before b/p is taken. Just wonder what the consultant will say . . .

  • permission to have a litle rant please? If I don't then DH will get it later, and he's starting to get annoyed (not with me).
Have a colleague who got right royally grumpy when I was off sick with MS and worked at home a lot (I told my boss, and he was fine with me working at home. It was either that or get signed off sick). It was really getting to me and made me quite upset on occasion, and I did have a go at them once, which I know I shouldn't have.
They now know that I'm pg and everytime I even so much as sneeze or say I have a headache or am off work I get several text messages/phone calls/e-mails making sure I'm ok and that the pg isn't going wrong. I had a migraine last week and I got 3 texts to each of my mobiles (work and personal) asking if I was ok. I couldn't see, let alone reply to a text. Today I'm working from home (decided on my way home yesterday) as I know that I get quite tired by Friday so need an relatively easy day, and I've had 4 texts and 2 missed calls already (not answering) oh and a couple of e-mails.
It's like I'm being given a guilt trip for being out of the office, yet they're overly concerned (to the point of mithering) about the sproglet.
It gets waaay more complicated as there are mental health issues here too, so I know I have to be more understanding than with anyone else.

Ok. deep breaths, musn't get upset.

sorry for the rant. I think I just needed to vent to a bunch of other women with hormones all over the place who might understand.

Feel free to ignore me when I'm like this. :o

Right, now where did I put that optimism??

Hngrymummy: rant away! This forum is great for venting! Ignor your work colleagues, I finished work just over 2 weeks ago and my work calls my landline daily/ my mobile daily/ texts me and emails. I even had a facebook msg yest! Leave me alone!!

Sir M: *low BP* vibes to you! Have you tried any relaxation CDs? Do you have an iPod at all? On mine I can download some free apps that are relaxation ones. Wish I could help more, I always have v low BP (my dr reckons I'm too laid back) lol. Hope your ok.

Smartie! Grrr if I lived nearer you I could come sort that baby out!! Lol doubt it would help but it's being sucha devil. *fingers crossed* it could still turn, you never know mine did last week at 39 weeks with absolutely no room, I'm sure there must have been an earthquake when it moved as I have no idea how it had space.

    3 days overdue :(
  • Hungry do you think this person is feeling guilty and trying to make up for it?? Also can be annoying when people are like that, is a bit over the top. Maybe have a word with them and say thanks for your concern but is a bit much (I'm sure you can word it better than that!!). My mum is very concerned at the mo, but again seems a bit like badgering as constantlty texting/ringing me to the point of annoying but she just cares about me . .

Ouch, ouch bubs is kicking me right in the ribs . .

  • Hngrymummy - I can sympathise my MIL has mental health issues which means sometimes she will call us 10 times over 2 hours just to check all is well. My OH cant be bothered picking up the phone anymore so I just pick up and stick to a script of "yes I am ok, yes your son is ok, and yes your grandaughter is fine." Maybe it is worth drafting a text or email response saying "Thank you for your concern, I hope to be back in the office soon. :D"

smartie don't think you need anything too different, just more stuff. So more clothes for you and baby, more nappies etc cos you'll be in for 3 days probably after section, and snacks because the portions in hospital are not big enough to feed my kids. A planned section is way way better than an emergency one. I've had no problem with either of mine and it is great for OH getting time of work, organising childcare etc

Don't guarantee you'll be in that long.. I was in 36 hours!!! and only that long as it took 4 hours to do my discharge papers!

  • SirM - Yes and no. They are feeling a bit guilty, but then taking it too far. If they could wear sack cloth and ashes and whip their backs they would. Because of the MH issues, their guilt is always done in such a way that you then feel guilty for making them feel guilty (even though you didn't and they felt guilty all by themselves). IYSWIM. They'll then get so worked up about the guilt and their perceived heinous crimes that they get stress-related illnesses, get grumpy and then feel guilty for being grumpy and ill. And so it continues. If I don't reply to a text within 5 minutes, it gets sent to my other mobile. If I don't reply to that within 3 minutes I get a "have I annoyed you?" text to both mobiles. if that goes unanswered for another 5 mins I get a call and an e-mail.

Usually I can cope with it as I'm used to it. Today is a 'leave me alone' day though (to them, not you!).

Deep breaths. This is not helping the MS. Going to have a blueberry muffin and text my friend to say that meeting in town is not going to happen without disaster!

Thanks for being understanding everyone :o
