poor you, smartie -my sis found some counselling helped a bit, but she found she had panic attacks going to the hospital for a while after (not good when you're a nurse there!). I think like pigpen says the main thing is not to bottle it up.

bubs v quiet this morning, but still moving enough for me to not be too concerned, feels like has shifted position a bit. Will try some fizzy water with ice which usually does the trick. For once I actually want DH to play the shooting game on the ps3 to wake it up!

and I know I always go on and on about this, but today I got on a full bus, with crutches and massive bump...can you believe no one vacated their seat??!! Obviously I asked, was only going 2 stops home from caffe nero but that's beside the point!

  • Rach, that would make me really cross  I can't believe how rude some people are on public transport. A friend of mine used the tube when she was 8 months pregnant, and everyone ignored her.
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:
  • Rach i think its the same everywhere. i got 2 buses everyday to work the one into town is always full and not once did anyone offer me a seat (im fine standing - but thats not the point) i wud always offer my seat up to someone who may need it more than me. some people are just ignorant, and especially with you being on crutches and everything its obvious you would need one. ignorant people really get on my nerves.

Had to share. You've all been through my sickness lows with me, so here's a high. Just had a tortilla wrap...filled with salad. And it was yummy. I'm getting some greens at last :j

Maybe I've found the compromise. Tablet first thing to get me started, and once I'm up and had some food I should be able to keep going the rest of the day.

I've nearly caught up with the the washing and washing up too. DH is doing DIY stuff, as we're renovating our house room by room, and have to get some things done before sproglet arrives.

Wishing you all a lovely day too.

Think I might go get another tortilla wrap....

Thanks ladies... just reading both your posts started the waterworks:o I'm a bit worried about PTSD pigpen. I do talk about it to friends, midwife that has visited and DH but it's really embarrasing cos I get in a right state!

Luckily I have really bonded with Daisy which is a huge relief considering the birth plus of course the awful pregnancy too. I just love her to bits:D:D:D ...And she's watching the grand prix at the mo?!:rotfl:

I bonded really quickly with DD3 too.. but that didn't mean I wasn't a complete mess otherwise.. i shut everyone else out at the sae time.. keep talking about it until you can do it without getting angry or upset.. you can offload on me if you want, even if it is 6 months down the line and everyone else has stopped listening I will be about.. I fully understand.. flashbacks, nightmares, insomnia, panic attacks I did the works..

what would we do without you pigpen (I mean that!), you're such a star!

hngrymummy - that's great re the sickness. Think mine is coming back a bit, but I guess just not a lot of room in there now!

Gave up on the idea of cooking a roast as we decided too much work at the moment and I'd just get too hot. Going to cook the chicken tomorrow and have salad with it ;). Friend who i thought was coming tomorrow is going to come another monday instead, I'm glad as I have another friend coming tues and another taking me out wed, plus DH has a final interview so may be home one day too. I might go to the baby cafe and introduce myself and get some BF tips - it's easier to get there than it is to get to the hospital for their BF ante natal session tomorrow evening.

I know I shouldn't be on here, but as smartie said earlier in theory I still should be pregnant for another week!!

Which baby cafe you going to?? If its doable on public transport could come down?

Also congrats on all new arrivals, especially Bunny - well done on getting through the marathon session. Lurking for news on courgette, hope things go OK finally and hugs to smartie hope you can talk it over with someone - the health visitor that came on Friday was really good with me and said I was at risk due to my section and him being in scbu.

Just a quick question to any previous C section mums..... on your subsequent pregnancies have you ever had a sharp pain that comes and goes (right hand side of bikini line IYKWIM)? I dont know whether its just braxton hicks, as I never had these with DD. AM waiting a call back from NHS direct but they said it may take up to an hour, or four.

    Cheers,
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
    DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz
