@emsy - Sorry you're not allowed a waterbirth. Did they say why?
.
Previous C Section............the midwife who was showing the group round thought I was mad for thinking I could.
I spoke to her afterwards and explained that both my own midwife and consultant had said it was ok, but she said none of that matters.....when I went on the ward, I simply would not be allowed to use the facilities.0 -
GIZ - Vet nurses are on min wage whilst in training. xIf you can think it........it will happen0

Morning all
Baby Oliver is just so gorgeous - and i also have the same changing mat
Just back from seeing the consultant, was told to go to Outpatients - followed signs and ended up in a totally different outpatients and had to go back to maternity - so was in agony before i even went in. After telling hubby i would be ok on my crutches i wish i had made him get a wheelchair.
Consultant said he is reluctant to do anything as natural birth would still be best and just coz baby was measuring big last week doesnt mean it is big and its only an indicationBut i obviously do want a natural birth just terrified baby will be humungus!! and i wont be able to push it out!! and of causing long term damage due to SPD.
So he has suggested a sweep at 40 weeks if baby isnt here and induction at 41 weeks if baby isnt here..... which i am fine with but hubby doesnt seem to be, cant work out if he is just impatient, or worried about me being in a lot of pain or what???? he seems to want a second opinion and wonders what would have been said if i had seen the young consultant rater than the old one - where as my thinking is the older guy has alot more experience to go on.
Despite being fine whith what the doctor said i feel really tearful today, maybe it just coz the thought of up to another 3 week feels like so far away, or maybe im just exhausted from walking round most of the hospital on crutches......:(:(:(
still no news from Courgette??? hope she is having mummy cuddles and all is well.Baby No.1 due 27/9/10

Hello hello! :wave:Anyone mind me delurking since I'm nudging closer to the end stage and well, the cr&p reason I never got involved before was because I was having a good & uneventful pregnancy so didn't have much to say and didn't want to rub it in the faces of those having real problems.:o (I'm sure I'll pay for it with a devil child that doesn't sleep. Argh!) And then I felt I'd left it too late to join but s0d it...:p
NOW at 33 weeks, I could really use some mutual support/laughs/advice from you lovely ladies so will be popping by a lot more.
Despite my absence I've still loved awwing at all the cute bubs pictures (SO HUGE CONGRATS TO ALL YOU NEW MUMMIES:T) and admiring stretch mark-free cuter bumps than mine. (damn you, Fuzz!)
Hope Courgette finally has some good news....???;)0
