  • [QUOTE=ethelsmum;36557729 Sir M - nice to see you around still, hows baby Thomas getting on?[/QUOTE]

Thanks we are getting on well, bfing well every 2 to 4 hours (usually about 3ish). Also slowly managing a few trips out but will be hard next week when DH goes back to work as no taxi service and I will be relying on public transport . . . Think you were due same time as me - having any signs that little one is on their way?

ticklepenny I get incredible pain there but get it every month when period is due normally as well, I also have a lump there and am told its where the surgeon started the stitching and is really common. I don't worry when I feel pain there at the moment because I'm used to it from before I was pregnant so hopefully yours is nothing too.

I know I shouldn't be on here, but as smartie said earlier in theory I still should be pregnant for another week!!

Which baby cafe you going to?? If its doable on public transport could come down?

Also congrats on all new arrivals, especially Bunny - well done on getting through the marathon session. Lurking for news on courgette, hope things go OK finally and hugs to smartie hope you can talk it over with someone - the health visitor that came on Friday was really good with me and said I was at risk due to my section and him being in scbu.
That would be fab, I was thinking of texting you but didn't want to pressure you into feeling you had to get out! Every 3 hours sounds like a really good start to routine from what I've read! I'll pm you the place but it is close to you i think! I'd pick you up but I'll be on public transport too as easier than walking to the car and it's close to tram stop. :D

  • Smartie - really hope the emotional scars heal as well as the physical ones. Take good care of yourself and Daisy

Rach - How very rude!! Hate ignorant people.

Lilian - Glad your yoga went well

Sir M - Glad Thomas is doing so well now he's home

On the Edge - Nice bump, I will have to take a photo of mine

And hello to anyone I've missed and the lurkers!!

Baby has moved back to how it was lying before this morning as I'm having stomach cramps again and I hadn't had them since yesterday. I think the little tinker is bouncing on my stomach!
Still seeing and feeling movements but they are not as strong as this morning so I think its back is to my front again and I look massive once more, even DH exclaimed that I looked like I swallowed a football!

Still no news from Courgette then? Hope she is ok and baby marrow comes soon or she is enjoying mummy cuddles as we speak!

Truly crappy day. Sorry for the whinge!
    • Hospital tour this morning-where I was told in no uncertain terms I would NOT be allowed a water birth, despite what consultant and midwife had told me!
    • MY mum got kicked by one of their animals earlier (they live on a farm) knocked her clean off her feet she fell backwards and hit her head on the fence as she went down.....she seems ok, but I am still worried.
    • Just got in and went on facebook.......ex today has decided to change his status to single. I know we are not together, but it has made me blub. Lots.

And, stupid Q, I am assume my waters have to break before I go into labour? I assume I am just getting stronger BH, as it feels really wrong tonight.

Emsy - have a read of this, particularly this paragraph:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/physical_health/pregnancy/pregnancy_labour.shtml

    How to tell it's labour

    • Time your contractions. It's almost certainly labour if your contractions last more than 40 seconds and you're having three every ten minutes, and probably labour if you notice your contractions getting closer together and more intense, even if they're not at the 'three in ten' stage yet.
    • You've had a 'show'. This is a loss of pink mucus from the plug that keeps the cervix closed. Labour can start any time after this, although it could be as long as a few days. Some women don't notice the show, so just because you haven't seen yours it doesn't mean you aren't in labour.
    • Your waters have broken. This means the membranes holding the amniotic sac, which contains your baby and the amniotic fluid, have started to leak. It can happen suddenly, but is more likely to be a gradual trickle. Again, you may not notice. It's more likely to happen when you're already in established labour. There's a risk of infection if your waters break too soon before labour and the waters could bring the cord down as well, compressing your baby's oxygen supply (this is rare). Call the hospital if you're concerned.

So this could be it :) Good luck if it is and don't let what your ex did ruin or tarnish the magic!

  • Cheers Merfe and Pigpen. Finally NHS direct have called back and told me to go to the DRs in the morning to get checked out just in case as they didnt feel comfortable diagnosing anything over the phone. So tomorrow I have the joy of trying to get a monday appointment Yay!

Crazytink that is so rare! Did you know that sailors pay stupid amounts for "unbroken" waters as it is supposed to be good luck. The weird world we live in.
