  • Congrats Horse!

Nepthys - glad everything went ok the waiting times are shocking its a bit like a cattle market in there sometimes :rotfl: wouldnt worry too much about the weight everyone says they get it wrong anyway. consultant didnt give me an approx weight so had to find it on my notes myself, it said 5lb although i still have a feeling this will be a big-un!

i have been having period pains all day, starting to wonder if its the start of something myself although probs just everything stretching still.

Congrats! and welcome to baby Oliver - sounds like me in labour although I made slightly better time lol - I had 10 mins to spare by time I got to labour ward! 4 mins - wow! :D Bet that the midwive was frantically opening up the birth pack thing and thrust the gas and air in your hand :)

I couldn't even get out the car as I was in mid-push, about 6 staff came running out & got hauled out into a wheelchair. Gas & Air was first thing I asked for when I got into labour rm, was only 4 mins worth but it really calmed me down. I heard MW say she wouldn't need a birth pack. Got on bed and she said she could see head already, poor DH just about passed out lol.

Weight loss the old style way challenge - 7/14lbs :j
  • gems81 DD was measuring 7lbs at 36 weeks and they didnt suggest this was weird but then I'm 5ft8 and OH is 6ft4. I was also told that she would gain 1/2lb a week till she was born, then arrived 3 weeks later at 10lb3oz, so the scans really are not accurate. My friends was told to expect an 8lb baby and her DD was 5lb13oz.

I want a fast forward button on this pregnancy. :o

Oh and congrats to Horse :D
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
    DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz

Dream - I saw your bump pic which was lovely and neat - not sure where you would hide anything too big in there!!! Either way - so long as baby is healthy sure never mind the weight - just brings tears to my eyes. Although I watched one of those home birth diary programmes earlier - that really brought tears to my eyes. I think the reality of getting this baby out of me is starting to hit home!

That and daytime tv is awful!!!
  • everyone keeps telling me im neat, baby certainly doesnt feel small when he's doing his somersaulting about lol :rotfl:

well off to bed for me, hope everyones bumps behave themselves :D

Thanks Tickle, i think they are mainly worried because of the SPD and mentioned that pushing out a 10lb-er could cause long term damage to my pelvis as its already in a state!!

but lots of people have told me that they quite often get sizes wrong in the scans ... im not too worried at the moment, just would rather not go over if its already really big.... but at same time want it to come when its ready!! :)

  • What's RLT and the other thing please?
My DH is clipping his toenails while I'm trying to watch BB:mad:
11+4 today and still no scan date, rang them on Monday and they said they'd sort it and put a letter in the post, I hate not having confirmation yet everything is okay keep thinking the worst even though I've got no reason to.
    Congrats on the recent births.
I'm really hoping I don't have to go to bed without a courgette update! I was 15 days over with my 1st when they induced me so I know exactly how fed up she must feel.
