Just so I can think of you at the appropriate time!
No idea!! Even if the hospital gave me a time I wouldn't believe them;) I do know 5 minutes means 2 hours in hospital language!!:rotfl:
It'll be afternoon as I have to have a scan 1st in the morning just to check the little monkey hasn't turned. The chances of him/her having turned is about the same chance of me winning the lottery... and I don't buy lottery tickets;):D:p
I'm going to be sooooo hungry tomorrow cos not allowed to eat:(
Right.... 101 things to do so I must get busy:eek: Shout at me if my light is on;) I'm allowed back once everything is done!:)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Good luck Smartie, you queue-jumper you!
Will be thinking of you, provided I'm not doing something exciting myself obviously!
:D
Updating soon...0 -
smartie any emergencies will jump right in front of you, with any luck they will be all running on time for you though, best of luck for tomorrow. I honestly never noticed the nil by mouth before either of my sections, I think I was just too excited to be seeing baby.
Courgette I really hope something starts happening soon for you xx0 -
Morning ladies and bumps
Labour vibes to courgette, hope things happen for you soon. Smartie good luck for tomorrow, it will hurt afterwards but a week on from my section I am feeling not too bad just a bit sore and struggling a little to pick things up but DH has been great.
Can someone update the EDD list as we have called little man Thomas and he actually weighed 5 pounds and 4 ounces (hasn't lost a lot only 500 grammes in a week). We are all finally home (did on Saturday), getting used the sleepless nights (we were up for 3 hours last night trying to settle him) and I seem to be bfing every hour!! Also the staff in the SCBU were brilliant, really looked after us all made sure we knew what we were doing - even showed us how to bathe him, not sure you get that from a normal discharge.
Hope everyone on mat leave enjoys it before their lives change forever!!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Thanks:D
Even now one moment I look HUGE and then the next minute bump has shrunk:rotfl:
Same here, I think it's mostly bloating with me. Obviously yours is all baby! But yeah, I look down sometimes and think I look about 8 months, other times you can barely tell.
I have my physio on Thursday for suspected SPD - the pain has pretty much gone now but I keep reading about the importance of catching it early so am going to keep the appointment anyway. My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Hello
Can I join in please ...... I have a baby boy due on 29th December, by c-section. If he would behave and wait until that date it would be great, don't fancy NHS christmas dinner!
Waiting for their new baby brother are DS (6) and DD (3 next month)
I was looking forward to DD starting preschool today, giving me a whole 5 hours to myself however she went and got the dreaded chicken pox last weekend so she's home with me this week!
Nice to meet you all, will be reading through some of the postings to find out a bit about you

My hubby is a VET! It is a vocation not a job! It's amazing I am up the duff as we never see eachother and the pay is not a great as everyone expects.
I'm considering a career change after mat leave (currently a programmer). Am thinking of training to be a vet nurse but I see the pay is incredibly low while training (websites suggest £3k to 7k). While we could survive on a qualified vet nurses pay, I'm not sure we could survive on a student vet nurses pay for 2 years. Could you kindly ask your hubby if this is true?
I'm determined to work with animals in some way as it's what I've wanted to do since I was 5 and I'm fed up of doing things for other people and want a job I enjoy and don't dread going to work everyday.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Oh I did the maternity ward tour yesterday...it's not made me feel any better about the whole thing
I suppose the labour ward was OK. You get your own room. The pool room is great, but I'd be soooo gutted if I couldn't use it. They kept stressing about not to bring too much stuff. They should us the cupboard for the baby bits and asked if we could bring 1 small bag of our own stuff and ask if relatives can bring you new clothes each day/take home old ones. Although I don't plan to be there more than the minimum 6 hours after giving birth.
The maternity ward was horrible. But I suppose it's only for a few hours.
I'm feeling baby bubbles as I type, I love itBaby Giz born 6/2/110
