Congrats Xmas - brilliant news!
Have to agree with Fuzz though purple foof such a bad idea! Haven't been brave enough to attempt the razor yet but have a fear of a midwife coming near me with a bic razor and water! That's enough to make me keep things tidy in the run up to D-Day!!!
Lilac - hope you're ok now.0 -
Lilac hope you're OK that sounds very frightening!
I used veet pre peg but my skin's a bit sensitive now so have avoided in case of rash. I have one of those gilette (I think) razors with a trimmy bit one end and razor the other. You can then just whizz the trimmer bit over and then razor what you are comfortable with. I wouldn't be brave enough for a wax I'm afraidBellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
Congratulations Xmas on the birth of your daughter - lovely name.
Lilac hope you are ok and headache goes soon.
not done alot today other than clean one of the bathrooms and watch tv.
going to make a huge spag bol for dinner so that can use the bolgnese to make up a couple small lasangas for freezer - we have brought some small foil trays literally enough for 2 servings with some salad or nice bread and have been putting meals in them ready for when baby arrives, so far have a chicken, bacon and mushroom pie, 2 cottage pies, paella, apple/raspberry crumble.0 -
chili con carne is a great bulk cook and freeze meal, personally i could live on it.
thanks for everyones good wishes, I am fine, for some reason my BP seems to drop. It happened about 4 weeks ago as well and I ended up on a cardiac ward because my heart was missing some beats. The Dr at A&E says it could just be hormonal.
Fuzz - they are prefolded nappies, I had one as a trial from the council and I didn't get on with it, I personally prefer shapped nappies specifically bumgenius ones.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

Congrats Xmas
Love the name too.
Hello to all you other ladies, not much to report here i'm afraid.
Due in 8 days, ended up in the assessment unit last night to check if my waters had broken as (sorry for TMI) had had watery discharge for 3 days to the point that if I stood up it would run down my leg if I wasn't wearing a pad!
Apparently though, they don't know where it's coming from, so sent me home saying that it must be normal wetness! I wasn't too convinced though I have to say. It's making me very uncomfortable now which doesn't help the "resting" I should be doing!
Was monitored for a while to check babys movements and heartbeat which was lovely though.
Fed up now, and want him to hurry up and make an appearance! It's funny, because I spent the last 8 months pretty much dreading how painful it was going to be, and now I just want to get it over with.:jHappily Married 12/09/09:j:jDS1 born 22/08/10 7lb 6oz:j

Lilac take it easy if you can.
Doubt I will have a birth like that Xmas, but sounds like a great experience.
Might make a batch of veggie chilli con carne for tea and freeze some, as quite fancy it now people are talking about it . .
Re iron I am veggie too and have had no probs with iron levels, m/w said to me that she never has problems with veggies!!
Decided to get a pack of sleepsuits and bodysuits in small baby as have a feeling he will be in mothercare in the sale and was buy one get one half price, plus used my gift card. Could always take them back if things work out differently. . .
Re movements I read that if you didn't feel bubs best to have a snack/milk then lie down and see if you can count ten within an hour, if not try another hour then contact m/w or docs.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

congrats xmas, gorgeous name and sounds like a good birth.
I didn't sleep well at all last night, had some braxtons, no Rhythm to them what so ever, so today has been well and truely a duvet day. I remember when nights were for sleeping, but I suppose i should get used to it.
Lilac be careful and take it easy.0
