Never tried Lidl, but used Aldi nappies and they were excellent. Only nappy problems I have had are with Morrisons own and the new Pampers Simply Dry, they made my DD's bum so blistered I complained! Incidently, my cousin's little boy was the same. I only use Huggies or Aldi.:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0

kat funny you should mention that my auntie was telling me last week, that when her wee one was a baby she was really skint one week so she had to buy lidl nappies, and she said she never looked back she said they were fantastic, and ended up buying them from then on even when she did have the money for papmers etc. think i might give them a go.0

Don't forget things like if you want skin to skin contact, baby cleaned up 1st etc.
I have a very very mini birth plan now:rotfl:I've requested that I have skin to skin as soon as possible after section although I'm aware it wont be "proper" because of all the equipment.
hadnt thought about things like skin to skin contact... just found my info and starting to read about pain relief...... eeeeeeeekk!!:eek:starting to feel a bit real now, im actually going to have to get this baby out of me, and its apparently the size of a watermelon now:eek:Baby No.1 due 27/9/10

, think I have to get used to the idea that its here for the duration - I am 18 + 4 now.
I had serve MS with my first one but it did eventually abate at 24 weeks, not ideal I know but its not just the magic 12 weeks. This time I hardly had anything after 9 weeks. Thanks ladiesI'm okay, I'm just a bit hormonal for some reason . ... Does anyone else get like that or have I just outed myself as the MSE preggo nutter?
That'll be because you are pregnant :rotfl: I have completely irrational hormonal outbursts every so often and feel entitled to do so, one of the "few" pregnant luxuries. Is it just me or is there much point in having a birthing plan? How do i know how im going to feel and what im going to want until im actually going through it?
Going through the thought process of writing a birth plan helps you think about what you might want to happen and what you definitely don't want to happen. If there's something you don't understand or want to know more information about you can then discuss it with someone who knows more about it eg MW, consultant - not a friend who had a horrible time!
I've got an appointment with a consultant midwife at 36 weeks to discuss my birth plan. I didn't feel my last one had the information it needed to get what I wanted to happen across and as a result had things done that I wasn't happy with, spoiling my experience.
I have a lovely quiet house for about 3 hours. DH has hoovered and dusted the lounge before going out so I just need to empty the dishwasher, reload and do a few dishes and put away DS's painting stuff from this morning before I can start Project Nursery. Just wondering where my motivation is? If anyone finds it can you post it back to me. thanks0 -

Smartie - get your OH to do the skin to skin. with DD1 i had a birth plan, it was specific, no epi, don't offer it I don't want it. I will ask for drugs if i need them but I hope to manage on G&A only. Minimal monitoring if possible. OH to cut cord one it stops pulsating give me the injection for placenta and use cord traction if needed. I wanted skin to skin right away and baby could have vit K. All went smoothly I got skin to skin for about 20 mins then I started to heamorrage and the mw just said ok dad top off sit there and here is your little girl and draped a shawl over them both.
My MIL is a MW and she was actually working and had came in to see her first grandchild but hadn't been there at the birth and it was her who spotted i wasn't quite right as despite being pale anyway had went paler and my speach was just slightly slurred, OH didn't even notice. first littel bit after birth the piccys are mostly a semi naked OH and a still a bit messy DD1 because of meconium although she never swallowed any. It was 1st time I had heard of a man doing the skin to skin. With DD2 we knew i would probably heamorrage so birthplan was literally get her out safely, skin to skin with OH while they dealt with me. This time pretty much the same.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
I'm sat here thinking about putting all the shoes away that are littering the hallway... No motivation here either...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
