    congrats eviesmummy :)

I am home, managed the fastest journey ever! 1h5 minutes which is a real result!! I needed it too as am sooooooo tired. Only tomorrow morning to go, I need to get in by 8.30 I think to finish my handover notes as I have a meeting at 10. Then I have said I am leaving at 1.15 at the latest as midwife is 2.45.

The team I used to sit with bought me some lovely presents today, well baby presents! Really thoughtful of them I was so touched. Then I went to a meeting with girl who runs a project I oversee and she had brought me a pack of gorgeous sleepsuits from next! As my own team are unlikely to get me anything (boss hasn't actually mentioned to me since he got back on weds that I'm leaving tomorrow...) it is extra special! The stuff is all the lovely cute stuff I've not bought myself (I've just got plain white stuff)...and a box of choccies that we'll enjoy tonight!

@smartie - lol I hope the pizza was worth the weight gain :)

I had my consultants appointment. Car parking was appalling at the hospital..took me 15 minutes to get a space, was really panicking (I worry about these things) and then my appointment was one hour late :( Not fun.

On the bright side the consultant couldn't find a reason why I was referred so I'm low risk and have been put back to midwife only care :D Very happy. And he listened to the heartbeat and I heard it this time - so I'm even happier :D He thinks I should be able to feel something soon as he said he could feel the baby through the doppler. I hope so...I can't wait for that.

He asked about the vaginismus and he seemed happy that I was happy and not afraid of giving birth because of it. As for the Fentons (the reason the midwife gave for referring me) - he said if anything it should make things easier for me to give birth (he reckons they didn't know what Fentons was). So all good.

Been investigating mamas and papas more and it turns out (according to other forums) that the Aton car seat adapter works with maxi cosi car seats which is good, so it gives some other options than to be restricted to buying from M&P.

So I think we've decided on pushchair, cotbed (sort of but will buy after xmas), nappies (to be decided after baby is born). Next is bedding. I'm leaning toward just plain sheets/cellular blankets at the moment. Want to just buy bare minimum as we won't know the sex and don't want to have to much white/cream stuff. If it's a girl, I'll try and get lilacs to go with Eeyore. Not sure what colour for a boy.

    OK I've waffled enough.

    Congratulations Eviesmummy :)

:TCongratulations eviesmummy enjoy your mummy cuddles with baby Oliver:T

Rach - good to hear the end of work is nearly here for you:) Enjoy your choccies tonight - i still have have a box from my suprise babyshower last week that i may have to open later.

I have had 2 days stomach-pain free after my bank holiday weekend scare and trip to the doctors, so im hoping whatever it was was just a trapped nerve or something.... but I also know i totally overdid it at the end of last week so i think it could have been severe SPD pain. The problem is im scared to go out at all now after collapsing in pain in the B&Q entrance on bank holiday monday.... well i have the midwife tomorrow so will have to venture out the door, but think hubby is coming with me so that makes me feel slightly better.
Hubby is out with work people for drinks in London tonight so goodness knows what time he will be in and in what state he will be in. Im hoping this will be the last night out he has this side of baby arriving, but i bet it wont be. I dont think he realises how lonely im starting to feel sat in all day.:(

    congrats eviesmummy xx

Had a call from my mum, she said work wanted to know if I was starting my maternity leave straight after my holiday in october, erm I'm pretty sure that is what my letter said. Anyway the pharmacist said when she took hers they messed it up because she took it striaght after her holiday so I might have to go back for one shift, only 4 hours on a sunday but still.

Congratulations on your mummy cuddle Eviesmummy, enjoy.

Rach glad the end of work is in sight, "enjoy" your last day. That was nice of them, I doubt I'll get anything from work as I'm going to be on the sick until the end and no-one lives near to me, it would mean a 45-60 min each way trip for whoever delivered it!

Smartie - that was nice of her save you worrying. I'd be taking them back quick sharp! Yuck.

Gems - take it easy, it really isn't worth overdoing it, you will suffer oodfor it in the next few days otherwise and god forbid, but you could do more damage.

Giz - good to hear your MW led now and have heard the heartbeat, such a nice sound. I prefer it on the MLU, find it more relaxed.

Tinks - Hope having a rant on here has helped, feel free to do it whenever you like I always feel better when I do. I can't help advise really, but whoever suggested the calm letter, it sounds like a really good idea.

I can't remember anything else - sorry, best wishes and appropriate vibes to those who need them.

I'm about put DS to bed, he's playing quietly on CBeebies website at the moment so will leave him a few minutes more and then up to bed. I've got the house to myself this evening so looking forward to getting my new cross stitch thank you cards out for one of the physios who leaves next week. I want to get it finished for Wed morning so need to crack on, but it only arrived this morning.

I'm planning on working through the Nursery tomorrow while DH is out with DS for a few hours. It still has a lot of DS's old stuff in that I need to store or chuck. I've pulled down all the neutral little clothes so will start sorting through those and washing them to see what we've got and therefore still need.

Some gorgeous sleepsuits arrived this morning so need somewhere to store them. Have also got out the reusables, haven't decided if we are going to use them or not this time as it will be winter so much harder to dry them, but I'm going to have a look at what we've got and give them a wash and "bleach" and then make the decision.

Not really very hungry but need to eat as well, just have no idea what I fancy, other than a McD's and can't go out for one so am stuck really!!l
