I've nearly always had the same pot back, but the mw has emptied it first.
Moneysaver - I have one of the BT ones (not sure which, it was a present from work and I'm currently a whole flight of stairs away from it!:D) but its still in the box so I can't comment on it. I was also given my brother's tommee tippee monitor (used for his 2 boys, its 7 years old) so I could return the BT one and get something else but it looks all shiny and new and is digital etc etc so I think we'll probably just keep it.0 -

My friends little girl is having tests done at Bristol Childrens hospital today:( That's all I know as it's been hard to stay in contact. If I wasn't about to pop we could of gone to Bristol for support them but it's over 2 hours away. I've been a worrying:o If I don't hear anything today I'll give the grandparents a ring... but I don't know if they might of gone to Bristol as well. It's soooo difficult to know what to do??
6 days to go:eek::eek::eek: I'm not coping to well with it!:o After having a week or so of feeling the best I've felt all pregnancy I've gone back to feeling crap. Have had several phone calls from various midwives today... each time the phone goes I think it's a "get in now/sooner for section"!! Had a long chat with wee spilling midwife yesterday about the op, catheters etc which was helpful and was really :j:j:j to hear that DS would have "partner" status so can visit/be there all the time:D:D:D I was really worried he wouldn't get to see his bruv/sis on the day:o
The above is why I'm trying to stay away from this thread cos i rant/moan tooo much:o:o:o
Glad things are going as well as can be for your friend and mum:)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Hi ladies
had a check-up at the hospital this morning, we both scored full marks for healthinessIt turns out that they agree with me after all about my due date and they've now decided I'm 7 days overdue not 14 which medically is a big deal. Another lovely internal done plus sweep and I'm still miles off delivery
but I went in with my sleeves rolled up ready to have a fight and it was completely stressfree and lovely. I've been discharged back to the community midwife for the time being then another trip to the hospital next Weds to repeat today's monitoring. They reckon babe is currently in the region of 8lbs13oz which is a bit smaller than DS was.
All in all, great morning and perfect outcome :T:D
Off to catch up, any more babies this morning?Updating soon...0 -
no baby from me yet and glad to hear about the overdue status courgette, that's got to be a little less stressful for you now.
According to my hubby, I'm now allowed to go into labour, how kind, I've just been having minor period type pains and a stitch when I walk around a lot.
Hubby says he's getting impatient to meet her, I hate to be a inconvenience :rotfl:0 -
Hello Lovely Ladies
Just thought I would update you; Baby Theo Logan was born 28th August at 7.27amI was booked in for induction Friday and had worked myself up over it so much I ended up going into labour naturally! I had to have my waters broken though. I had all these plans for a drug free hypnobirthing inspired water birth and it all went completely wrong. Theo was in distress, there was merconium in my waters of which he had swallowed a great deal and had it on his lungs. My MW was terrible and I was in complete agony, ended up in theatre having a ventouse delivery with a spinal injection (I was deemed for C section by my MW but I demanded alternative options). My little boy spend the first few days of his life in the special care baby unit and we both only left hospital last night after more muck ups. He weighed a healthy 7lbs 11ozs, not the 9-10lbs he was predicted!
I don't remember all of my birth, but my labour lasted 26 hours and it was one of the most traumatic moments of my life, but I am soooo pleased with my little man Theohe is absolutely gorgeous and I cannot imagine life without him
I will try post my birth story, still trying to piece it all together!
Congrats to Nene and MLSL!!0 -
