  • Dear All,

    Whatever else you agree on..............

It seems that you are quite sure I would make a lousy marketing manager for any scam.

I guess that is a sort of compliment.

    Thanks

    Regards
    Norman
  • I have it on reliable information that Sterling Equity are inviting people who have invested to an 'AGM' in a London hotel in June. I am still trying to find out exactly where and what date so if anyone has any further info I would be grateful. I expect the OFT might be interested to knowas well!

I'd be surprised if these are the same people behind the Sterling Equity Hedge Fund that we've all come to know and distrust since they have no authority to do business in this country and London therefore seems one of the more unlikely venues, least of all for an AGM.

It could of course be some sort of scam :)

Sterling Equity of Delaware advised investors in an unsigned letter that they called in the auditors on 21st June. They blamed 'unforeseen devastation that struck Japan caused a knock on effect' ........combined 'with the enormous losses incurred as a result of our most recent acquisitions and their commitment to numerous volatile investment syndicates that came to light post acquisition' ........................'Sterling Equity sincerely regrets any loss of equity value you may incur once the audit is complete'!

Up to a week ago they were peddling shares in Cairn Energy on a 90 day 'buy back deal' at £5.25 (then £4.20 approx)

    Clear enough now Norman?
  • Before giving this boiler room in Marbella your money, because that's where they really are, in Marbella, look for Bernard Madoff in google and the bbc news, it tells you all about how this mindless scam works. sterling equity have done this before under a different name. this is not the first hedge fund fraud they have commited. dont be a victim, You have been warned.
