so the first page expires after a few weeks...everyone knows to go to the end of the thread to find the recent comps so what does it matter if the first page is out of date?

I just think it makes it a bit more awkward. In the main thead you just click on a comp and it's there, in this caase you would have to remember to go to last thread instead.

I don't go in regulars, as I said, as I find it too confusing, I can never figure out that first thread, but then I'm probably not as seasoned a comper as some of you!!

not just you and i'm been comping on here for nearly 4 years now and have never managed to figure regulars out :o
    2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
    2013: £134.96

but there's quite a few on the main board that are/could be/maybe should be in regulars as we have to click on the last posting for them when/if they're updated every day

    some of them :o

Do you all remember how torn we all were when Diva went through the entire main board adding the Expiry date format to the title of all the comps posted already, and how often at first people had to gently remind others how it worked when a new comp was posted ???

This sounds like it will be a very similair situation, but will be for the benefit of us all, and will eventually make it easier to stay on top of comps you want to enter.

I can't imagine not being able to display the comps forum how I want and comp by date ending anymore, I am so used to it now, but I dreaded the thought of getting used to it at first.

atm, when I have posted weekly entry comp, I have posted it on main and linked to Gillas thread, so that peeps who check both boards get a chance. I too hated the threads getting locked in regs, and welcome that change.

    happy comping everyone, xxx
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

I just checked the stickies, and the Expiry Date format change sticky is still there too. Can't believe it altered over 2 years ago now

  • whats so complicated about remembering (once you get used to it) to check the last thread? you dont check the first pages of this thread do you to find where you have read up to and join in with the discussion? explain to me what the difference is except for the few minutes extra it will add until you get used to clicking last post or view first unread post when you open a thread in regs?

i agree atm regs board is confusing....i only use the reg threads in their because it is confusing and comps posted there are frequently also posted on main which complicates it even more. i use the thanks and entered button so if its in dailies/weeklies but also duped on main i know ive entered.

all thread korky listed above should be in regs and linked in dailies...all are linked in dailies but posted on main.

i also think the likes of this one should be in regs and updated each week instead of a new post on main each week..but at least a new post in regs each week

  • Hi,

I have entered this and now realised I have binned my copy of the magazine!!

Does anyone have the list of winning numbers for the two comps?

Or can someone direct me to them if they are already on here somewhere? Did search but couldn't find them!

    Thanks guys!

I think the general opinion is that the regs board isn't used because its untidy and confusing?

so if I spend a few days tidying it up (with the added bonus of entering comps for beard trimmers, artificial trees and 2 slices of hovis bread :rotfl:)
it might become a more useful board for everyone :) with the weekly mag threads etc easy to find on the first page or two :D

  • Hi all!

I'm not sure if this is the right thread...but I'll have a go! I've noticed a few compers mentioning that they maintain spreadsheets for competitions - I'm being a bit nosy and just wondering what these are, and why they do them?

Can anyone shed any light please?

    thanks

atm as I'm going through the regs board if I find a live comp where the prize has been changed I'm posting on it with the new details, I know that will bump them up (but they're probably comps a lot of people haven't seen :D) but as I'm working from the end of the board backwards that shouldn't be too much of a problem :)
