Have found a few problems so far though - Ovi Store is unavailable apparently, 360 Meter won't upload data and the Software Updater won't search for new updates.
Not sure why you are having the trouble (I assume you have checked the network connectivity and stuff like that). 360 meter and sw updates seems to be working fine (no critical sw updates at all)0 -

Yeah, I'm connected to wi-fi which seems to work okay for everything else. The mobile internet does actually work as I have been using it, but doesn't work for the things I mentioned earlier for some reason.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
I told you Nielsen were good on their word.
That's a Nokia N97 and a Nokia N8 I've had from them through similar promotions. really liking the N8 so far. A very good phone and the Symbian 3 is a massive improvement.
Freddie, I hope you get your £400 phone soon. :rotfl:0 -

I had the same problem. Go to settings, connectivity, settings, destinations, internet and then change the priority to the other way around. This solved the problem for me.
Anyone found an iplayer app for it yet? I've been on the ovi store most of the afternoon. Also it looks great connected to the HDMI port on my TV and can play avi (Divx) movies straight from a memory stick using the cable adapter provided. It also the easiest way to transfer all you pics, music etc. from your old nokia. Just use the two usb cables together and use your old phone as a memory stick!0 -
I've tried that. I got the Software Updater going by restarting but the 360 Meter still doesn't work! When you go into the 360 Meter, what does it say for last upload? Mine says never, and says upload failed when I try to upload data. It always worked on my last phone. And I've tried changing the priority and it made no difference.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

Thanks will try it now
My 360 meter has updated but I used to get it to update via my wi-fi setting on my 5800, I've tried changing the settings but it doesn't offer the wi-fi option0 -

Fingers crossed she'll let me have a go later this evening.
Looks well smart though, nice big screen with a black case.
Have fun all those that got theirs today.

I managed to hit the same connectivity issue for wifi. It was working with the '3' network but not with broadband. Finally got it working.:j It appears that the boardband router was hanged after trying to connect N8 to wi-fi. Restarted the router as well as disabled the Power savings option in Nokia N8(to be on safer side).0

Now that some of you have the handset, are you going to post a review?
I have no interest in the promotion company, but interested in learning more about the handset, if it is a worthy replacement for my current device and another reason I can avoid joining the fanboys0
