Just cooked up a batch of bolognaise and meatballs but defrosted 500g too much.

Anyone got any good ideas what I can do with it other than throw it at speeding cars? :)

Ideally something I could freeze afterwards.

    Cheers ears. :D

Fry it off with some onion and garlic if you have it, if not just on its own.

Then refreeze in portions. You can add veg and have it with some mash or use as a filling for cottage pie or add tinned toms for bolognaise.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

ok then you could fry off the mince, and when cooked add some gravy granuals and a little bit of water so that it becomes gloopy iykwim, once its cool freeze it, then you would have a basic base for a cottage pie. :D You could also add some frozen peas once meat is coloured. enjoy x

to be honest I would dry fry it, portion it off and freeze it into 4 potions. That way its good to go if you are making *whatever* from scratch.

Good tip - you can cook something from defrosted meat and then freeze that ;)

I'll add this to the existing thread on using mince to give you lots of ideas :D
