  • Well, i've had a completely unproductive day today. My Mum called and asked if I wanted to visit my auntie for an hour. We ended up staying all day so nothing done at all.

Luckily house was all done at weekend for another viewer coming (who has apparently told estate agent out of the 15 they saw they have come down to a choice between ours and one other - keep your fingers crossed!) so it's not too bad. Haven't done any daily clicks or surveys - not the best start to s free Christmas 2008! Yet I still fell shattered!

Have persuaded DD that her Christmas thing for tday should be writing Christmas cards so have sat with her while she wrote the oes for her class. We will have to finish tomorrow for other people.

DD and DS are on a warning if I hear them bicker once more then they are both going to bed! Usually they get on fairly well but they stayed up a bit later than usual last night and are a bit irritable. I don't think they've spoken since I issued the warning - obviously a case of, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!
  • Hardly posted here yesterday as the site was sooooo slow..or was that just me?
Went to bed early as I was falling asleep on the sofa. Got into bed - wide awake!! Ended up reading until after one then woke up again at 4, grr!

Planning on having a fairly easy day today. Will check flylady to see what today is (hoping for master bedroom) but not doing to level 3 - no cleaning skirting boards and windows for me today. Do have a fair amount of washing and ironing to do though and baby clothes to find a place for.

Meeting a friend for lunch at one and got a midwife appointment at 3.30 so that's most of the afternoon taken up and my Mam just left a list of stuff to order from the internet for her so need to do some price checking and code finding (will do as part of daily clicks).

Hoping everyone else has a pleasant day ahead!
  • Had quite a nice day today but accomplished very little apart from getting my mam's shopping online.

Lunch was lovely; midwife appointment was boringly normal - BP slightly raised but nothing to worry about; baby still in oblique position so unlikely to ne making a surprise arrival, thank goodness.

Helped DD to assemble the gingerbread house tonight. It looks qute sweet but I'm not that hopeful about it staying in one piece once we remove the cocktail sticks holding it together. We'll see tomorrow after the icing has dried.

Feeling very tired tonight again. DD is at fun club until 8 but once she gets home and bathed I think I will have an early night and pray for sleep!!

I think you fully deserve that day of not achieving much!

I hope you manage to get your early night and have some well earned sleep x

  • Had an early-ish night (10pm) and not too bad a night's sleep but woke early again this morning. Read for a while then got up and emptied dishwasher etc, then decided to amke a cup of tea and have an hour here before the kids wake up.

Not a lot planned for today; might sort the christmas decorations out ready for Saturday, got a birthday present to wrap for my Mam's partner and will have alook over to see what today's flying is. Also got to keep motivated to do daily clicks etc - in fact might go do some now...

  • Thanks for asking lunar. I actually had a bit of a grotty day yesterday - got to eleven o'clock and started feeling really ill, tired, achey etc. Didn't get much done but did eventually pull myself together to do the ironing - now have baby stuff all over my bed ready to put away. I really do have a stupid amount of first size stuff due to being given stuff from my cousin and my best friend.

Didn't have the best night's sleep, coughing, sneezing, sore chest, throat and head and OH was much the same. I think we just disturbed each other all night long. DD went to bed with a headache and isn't very well this morning. She's currently snuggled up on the sofa with a warm drink, a blanket, a copy of Mallory towers and Ice Age on DVD.

Ironically we have an outdoorsy weekend planned. Tomorrow we are supposed to be going to a local forest to pick up our tree. We usually wrap up warm and go for a ramble around the forest first. this year it will probably have to be a gentle stroll around the short, easy route - not sure I'm up to climbing hills etc, followed by a hot chocolate in the tea room. thenh we collect the tree and spend the rest of the afternoon decorating it.

On Sunday it's DD's birthday and she's having a football party which will be held mostly outside if it's dry enough. Hope she's recovered enough by then. She's already not too happy about being off school today as she thinks people will think her party is cancelled.

OH hit me with a surprise as well last night. He had saved a week's holiday for when the baby comes but he anounced last night he's going to take some paternity leave after that as well which will be great but I think will only be paid at £112 a week so we're going to have to be careful over this next few weeks to build up some extra money to make sure bills get paid. Not sure how much overpaying will go on so that debt free date might go further into the future. It will be nice to have him around a bit more though (I think!)

Sorry to read that you are all feeling so grotty. Perhaps the gentle stroll around the forest will be just what you need, without being too energetic or stressful.

Did you hear back from the house-viewer that came a few days ago?

  • Not since they said they were choosing between ours and another and needed time to discuss it. Can't say i'm that hopeful about it now, although the estate agent has rung every day this week with unrelated trivia and got my hopes up every time I saw their number on the phone!
  • DD has had a snooze and some lunch and is feeling a lot better and asking to go to school! I have distracted her by making up some icing to finish the gingerbread house - should be completed today.

    And here it is...
