    Hi

Sounds like a great day planned for you too - lots of nice things being done by DFWs today :)

I'm going to attempt an advent tree calender like your DD did today - wish us luck! :D

  • Well, OH off to work again (third sunday running I think, or maybe even 4th) but this will be the last one as next week is DD's birthday and he won't work that.

The POW camp was ok, but it poured down as son as we got there. There was some nice stuff but WAY overpriced (eg the gingerbread house kit we got at Aldi for £3.99 was selling there at £8!). We did buy two cute tree decorations with DD and DS's names on them and some Kendall Mint Cake though, mmm!

I'm sitting here in my new dressing gown (20% off at Asda - bought because I can't get my real dressing gown to meet around the midriff area!!). It's white and so soft and fluffy I may never get dressed again, though I do look like a cloud, or maybe a polar bear! Need to pick DD up from dancing at 1 o'clock and the last thing she said before she went was "You will be dressed, won't you?" Hmm...maybe, maybe not!

Wrapped about half of the Christmas presents for people who don't live with us last night. Today I hope to:
    • Have a sort through to see what Christmas cards I have
    • Begin writing cards
    • Wash, iron and put away more baby clothes
    • Pick up DD from dancing (after getting dressed I suppose!)
    • Have a quick vacuum, mop and wipe everywhere to get house back into the state I like it
    • Watch Elf with DD as our Christmas thing to do each day.
    • Do an hour sorting out in the attic
Don't have to make any lunch as OH made a shepherd's pie yesterday that just needs heating up. He also made some chilli to freeze for later in the week (ah, the wonders of mince!!)

And in an effort to stop my unecessary spending (even if it is bargainous!!) I've given OH my debit and credit card. got enough in my purse to pay what I think I need, shopping's done and petrol tank more than half full and will just have to manage.

Off to have a meander around the rest of the boards to [strike]be nosy [/strike]show interest in what everyone else is up to...
  • Oh, realised yesterday I can now tell people the baby is due "next month" (even though it's at the end of the month). How scary is that? I don't think I'm ready yet!

    :)

What a productive day yet again! We're off to the cinema (me and DD) as a special Christmas thing today :)

The dressing gown sounds gorgeous - I want one!! lol

Didn't make the advent tree with DD - so will have to make some Christmas decs with her instead I think - will google for some ideas.
Hope you have a lovely day - dressed yet? :D

  • Lol, no, still snuggled in dressing gown. How disgraceful is that??

And I am so weak willed! So much for not spending - just saw the HMV deal of the day is Ice Age and Ice Age 2 DVD double pack for £3.99 with free postage and 9% cashback through Quidco. Well, how could I refuse?? And even worse...I knew my debit card details off by heart so didn't even need the card to buy it!!

What are you going to see at the cinema? I was looking for a good Christmassy film. Is DS too little to go or are you just having a girl's bonding day?

oh oh oh - arghhh - will have to go and look at that bargain!!:)

We're going to see Enchanted - DS a little young and I thought it would be a nice girly thing to do as well.:) I got tickets through nectar - 500points per ticket which I thought was good. Soph is wearing her princess outfit and is very excited!

  • Oh, that sounds so sweet! I wish I still had a girl who liked dressing up. Despite my best attempts DD would rather be dressed in jeans and football boots and covered in mud! I have got loads of photos of her dressed in various princess dresses from when she was about 3 or 4 though.

She still might like the film though. Let me know what it's like.
