  • Got a letter from Sunderland Empire theatre asking if I'd be interested in a Groups and Schools information evening on December 14th. It involves a half hour talk on what's going on next year at the empire then watching their Christmas pantomime, Cinderella.

I e-mailed to ask about ticket cost and whether I could take DD as a guest and got a very nice e-mail back saying I was welcome to take DD, the tickets were free and she will pop two in the post!

As I was thinking of taking her anyway before Christmas and the date is a few days after her birthday - what a fab offer!

Hoping DS won't mind but as he hates the theatre anyway and won't come with us at the best of times I don't think he'll mind.

Not sure how I've been targetted though. I've done school bookings but never to that theatre.
Ah, just thought - I booked for 10 of us to go to Miss Saigon and 11 for We will Rock You - that must be it!

Oh I love going to Pantomimes, how brilliant to get free tickets!

  • Well, kitchen has had a good clean (eg including tiles, skirtings, doors, windows, inside fridge and microwave etc). Everywhere else has had what my aunt used to call a cat's lick and a promise (ie a quick vacuum without moving furniture and a quick wipe over the main places people see). Washing and ironing baskets emptied, clothes put away, ebay stuff wrapped and ready to post when pick DD up at 4.15, double glazing company phoned and expected sometime this afternoon, sofa covered stripped and half of them washed (though I need to find out what will get the grubby marks off the sofa arms) erm that's about it really.

My Avon stuff came, just as I was busy spilling soup down my front, Goodness knows what the delivery driver thought! I'm quite impressed for £9!

Getting close to the end of the month; will have to sort out what the new debt balances will be for December. Not expecting too much progress - I've spent far too much on my Egg card this month that will need paying straight off on Decemebr 1st :(
  • Testing whether I can post the advent calendar photos...now don't laugh - I did say I don't do art and crafts!

  • Yay! It works!

Though now I've learned I'll have to be restrained from posting photos of everything!

Oh they are fabby! Love them - but won't be showing DD or she'll be demanding to make them lol. So much better than buying them.

  • Just finished working out December budget and it goes like this...

    Marbles Card: £3,100

    Barclays Overdraft: £0 :j

    Total £3,100
    Total reduced in November: £760
Total reduced since LB moment (August 2006) : £24,874.60
Total reduced since debt at highest (January 2006): £26,782.60
Target for end of November - £2600 - nowhere near achieved
Target for end of December - £2100

Down to the final debt! Haven't paid off anywhere near what I wanted this month, but then possibly it was an unrealistic target as have spent loads this month. A lot of stuff has gone on my Egg card that needs to be paid before I can pay extra off the marbles card and also had to pay £215 for the car (I am so looking forward to being debt free and being able to save up for stuff like that!)
When I post the spending diary at the end of this month it will be a bit of a shocker.
Aims for December: Do best not to use overdraft again. Think will phone bank and reduce it down to a much smaller limit - daren't completely cancel it, just in case!
Try not to use Egg card - think I may give it to OH to keep so that I can't use it - trouble with finishing Christmas shopping early is that you then see other things and buy them as well!

  • Thank goodness for flylady. A viewer just wanted to come at 5 minutes notice and I was able to say "Fine, no problem" and be ready for him. Even a short while ago I used to need an hour to get the house ready. (I did cringe when he went up the attic though!!)

Mind you, still don't think it'll sell as he thinks 3 bedrooms is too much for a man on his own. (Then why look at it, as the details in the estate agents so say 3 bedrooms!!)
