 Bad influence you are, just ended up on HMV website myself now, haven't stopped at one, ordered a few festive ones aswell, Short Circuit for DS1 because he loves that film:rotfl: oh well it's done now.

hellooo! Nice to see you on this board rather than cracking the whip over at flylady! I used to love Short Circuit as well when I was younger. "Not disassemble! Number Five, alive!"

I ended up spending £30 almost :rotfl: see I wouldn't have looked if you haddn't mentioned it. DS1 loves Short Circuit, I end up getting him an old school movie (as my younger friend calls them) every Christmas, last year was the Goonies :D
I nearly ordered more, was over £100 worth on my shopping basket at one point but made myself 'put them back on the shelf' :o

Well done with the debt journey so far by the way, haven't read too much but going by the figures you've done VERY well indeed.

I do occasionally pop back over here, where I started really, especially when I am hiding so I don't have to do any housework....shhh or they'll find me....
One day I might be more organised...........

Did you manage to get dressed before you picked DD up, or was the polar bear look the one to go for

Actually I thought you might have had a sixth sense that I've done nothing today and be coming here to tell me off!!

At least you didn't buy everything in your basket - £100  Hope you went through Quidco as well!!

Hypno, I got a call from one of DD's friend's mums asking did she want to go and play for the afternoon, so not only did I get dressed, in real clothes not jogging bottoms, but I also dried and straightened my hair rather than tying it up in a knot still wet so that when I take the hairband out later I look like I have borrowed Justin Lee Collins's hair. The polar bear look will have to wait for next week!

Plus, the best laid plans and all that...ended up having a cuppa at DD's friends house and stayed 2 hours so haven't accomplished anything today. Got two hours before Elf starts on Ch4 +1 so if I can drag myself away from here I might do something. Having said that DD and DS are both still out and OH is at work so I might just stay here with a cup of tea...and I bet I can find a mince pie as well!

We are going to watch Elf too - as long as the kids have done all their homework by then!

Just the thing for a Sunday evening.

Of course I went via quidco :D Elf, oh, might have to watch that, I've never seen it, just scrambled through sky as I had no idea was a channel 4+1, DS1 is glued to Star Wars so doubt I can talk him into changing it at 5.45pm so I'll either record it or watch it later with them, see what else is on first, not expecting DP back until after 7pm anyway....got no mince pies, not got round to making any yet but I do have some sweet waffles and christmas pudding icecream :D I might have to get some more of that from the farm shop next week as it's bloomin lovely and going down very fast.

  • We watched Elf accidently last year - it's sort of rubbish but good at the same time, if you know what I mean.

Christmas pudding icecream??? Mmmm, that sounds fab...now where is this farm shop????

Aldin Grange Meats in Bearpark (best place for meat hence I still drive over there since I have moved), he sells it for Lanchester Dairies who've just recently started a Bill and Goeff's icecream range, he let me try some when I was there on Friday, came home with Chocolate Heaven and Christmas Pudding icecreams, told Brian the farmer he is naughty and a VERY bad influence! There was a lemon sorbet he let us taste too, that was lovely but I can only store so much icecream, loads more flavours so might have to work on emptying the freezer :rotfl: I'm easily led you see :o hence the HMV shop.....

They only open 10-4 Fridays and Saturdays, farm shop is great, mainly sells meat and eggs, icecream just a new thing they are doing, prices are good too, cheaper than Tesco for most stuff & far nicer! Icecream is expensive compared to supermarket stuff of course but you just can't compare the taste. You could I suppose just put some chopped up christmas pudding into icecream....

Ice, oh no, that's bad, makes my teeth hurt thinking about it...
