Chocaholic110 - WOW!! I have just read your story, all 19 pages, which must of took me a good hour, but totally worth it. If all the people that sign up to this forum to clear debt read your story, I'm sure every single person would go away feeling much happier about the debt they have and will have so many ways of taking that step forward in getting it cleared!!
Congratulations on the pregnancy!!!0 -

Re people with real problems.Yes its true there is always someone worse off but then the opisite applys alsoYour pain/problems are not worth less attention and support because they are not as bad as others only by addressing them can you help others.Sorry does that sound pompas:o do not mean to be.
At the moment you are carring another small person who you will cherish and nurture as you have your DD & DS.You have through your posts shown yourself to be strong, resorseful, loving and supportive that looks like a pretty good example to set:T
My son was born with a cleft lip and palate, daughter born with short bowel.Someone asked me if I asked God Why me?My reply? Why not me?Lots of mums have a much bigger mountain to climb. It didnt mean I didnt care but I along with OH could cope.Do you know we have had so much help and support from all over we are truly greatful now for the mountain.
Not that sure about 2 teenagers who give me back chat, demand yet more shoes because they wont stop growing, eat me out of house and home and have given me a lot of grey hairs:rolleyes: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oh! I used to hate being asked what did I whant when I was expecting:mad:
So my reply depending on who asked was................A puppy!
or A baby woukd be nice:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Some of the best lessons we ever learn,we learn from our mistakes and failures.the error of the past is the success and wisdom of the future. :j0 -
Good morning and feeling a bit better today, even though I haven't slept that well, and even when I did sleep I dreamt that I was packing bags for DS and all of his friends, including the ones who aren't even going on the trip!
Saw DS off at 6.30 - he couldn't wait to get on the bus - he almost left without even saying goodbye. I think he thought I might kiss him or somethingGot to say I don't envy the teachers at all.
Not too exciting a day today, lots of work for school and OH's car to tax.
Did have one moment of excitement(! - I am easily pleased!) yesterday that I forgot to mention - got a Johnson's baby bath box at Asda, really nice and containing loads of Johnson's stuff. It was mentioned on the grabbit boards a while ago but someone said it only had a couple of miniature botles in so I erm, broke the cardboard packaging to look inside and it had decent sized shampoo, top-to-toe wash, baby oil, baby bath, baby lotion, wipes, cotton buds and baby talc. Plus the bath box itself with all the little compartments - only £10. I was well impressed.
In fact, if I can do the link this is more or less it but mine is cream not lilac

I am glad you are feeling a bit better this morning - I hope that continues for the rest of the day.
LOL at DS just going off like that. Mine would be exactly the same, although DD lingers with Mum for as long as possible! I am sure he will have a whale of a time.
Good news too at the baby bargains. We love a bargain!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
wanted to send you a hug, i have a nightmare family on one side and i know how hard it can be trying to balance your own sanity with what you think you should do. I know its hard to decide what is est but as others have said, do what is best for your imediate family.
Glad you are feeling better today, and well done on getting the bargin baby products. Take care and dont let them get you down.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Had two very short texts from DS - "On ferry" and "At centre" - man of few words!! Think they take the phones off them now until the journey home. At least I know he's there safely anyway.
Not too bad a day; school was good, despite it being my playground duty and after school club. You can guarantee tomorrow will be awful to make up for it!!
Got my £12 HMV e-voucher from Test and Vote. Will go towards Christmas present for DS.
Absolutely shattered as couldn't sleep last night. Got up and read and had some hot milk instead of tossing and turning and disturbing OH. Will be heading off to bed soon...maybe even before 8.30!
Edited to say that DD has just come past and said "Why is it all about DS? Do they not know about me?" So I should probably tell you that she is very pleased to have been picked for the school football team tomorrow night (she's the youngest picked and the only girl) even though she's just sub so will only play 5-10 minutes and probably wouldn't have been if two of the players hadn't been banned for bad behaviour!0 -
your green light is off, so hopefully you have managed to get that early night.
I hope DD performs well in the football - even if it is just for a few mins!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
DD played for about 15 minutes. She didn't get many touches of the ball and looked pretty terrified I thought but the football coach said they all do to begin with. Was pleased by the fact that when she did get a kick the boys were all saying well done to her and at the end one of the Year 6 boys gave her a hug and told her well done. Oh and they won!
Really tired again. the beginning of the week always seems harder than the end of the week for some reason.
Going to look up the figures for my monthly uodate in a minute. I can't say exactly what it is going to be but i can work out the minimum that will be paid then anything else is a bonus.0 -
End of September / Beginning of October update
My Debts
Marbles Card: £3,600
OH's Debts
Egg Card: £299 - *sigh* so near , yet so far!
Total £3,899
Total reduced in September: £880.43
Total reduced since LB moment (August 2006) : £23,076.60
Total reduced since debt at highest (January 2006): £24,984.60
Target for end of September - £3,500 - not achieved this month
Target for end of October - £2,700
Well, due to car service and car tax we didn't quite meet the target I had set this month. It is possible we might be able to shave a little bit more off the Egg card - I'm just not sure what OH will get paid yet and would rather underestimate rather than overestimate. Here's hoping I can knock a few more tenners off that figure. It will definitely be gone next month anyway!
Also I get my yearly payrise on my pay on Friday. Not sure exactly how much. Think my annual pay goes up £2500 or so but after tax, NI, pension and student loan think will be around £100 extra a month in my pay. Will find out on Friday I suppose!
Also been keeping up with the spending diary.com. According to figures on there we have so far spent £3,800 this month. We don't even officially earn that much a month but it doea include car tax, service, insurance, DS's spending money for trip etc, so lots of one off expenses. Hoping it should be less next month!0 -
Got my payslip today. My pay goes up £117 in actual money in my pocket (or off a credit card!!). Also Quidco is showing £37 as received including gala bingo money.
Wish the rest of the day had gone as well! Twice today I have had to calm down children in class who were becoming violent (though they weren't actually in the classroom at the time - what is it about being outside that sends children wild?), even to the point of having to get in the middle of two who were squaring up for a fight. This is really not what I went into teaching for! Roll on maternity leave!
Had the book fair in school this week. DD was desperate to buy a book even though I tried to persuade her we could get them cheaper at the BookPeople. In the end I let her take some money she had saved in her money box. She came home with a book for her and a book for DS as a welcome home present because she's missing him.0
