I know what you mean - real life sadly does get in the way of MSE et al doesn't it!!
I hope you have a good day, and that the viewer seems positive. Good news on the money going in the bank though - I had a similar panic yesterday as money we are expecting from our student still hasn't been paid in, yet the loan payments come out today, so much dashing to the bank and robbing of peter to pay paul yesterday thankfully paid off, and nothing has bounced, but equally until the students money arrives we have to live off dust....:o
(oh, and the chocolate I bought yesterday)

I could probably provide plenty of dust, if you're interested? You'll have to tell me quick though as it will all be gone by lunchtime0

Thanks choco, but we have enough dust to feed a small army for a couple of weeks. We will be fineSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Our viewers came, along with the mother of one of them who seemed quite familiar. Turned out she teaches at a school not to far away that we have done several courses with.
The mother was really enthusiastic about the house and kept telling the daughter how much she liked it. Shame it's not her buying it as the couple themselves were fairly disinterested.0 -
Had my 20 week scan yesterday. Came away feeling a bit deflated as everything seemed a bit vague. Apparently everything is "probably" ok but no guarantees. And baby is likely to possibly be a boy but again no guarantees. feel a bit cheated as everyone else seems able to say it's a boy, or it's a girl but I can only say it's possibly a boy (and everyone thinks, yeah, we know that much!)
Plus today every time after sitting I have had a really bad painshooting up my pelvic bone. It seems worse when on one leg, which sounds mad but it doesn't hurt when stepping on one foot but I could cry when my weight transfers to the other side.
Erm, sorry, don't have anything else to report other than whinges!0 -
Just booked a 4d scan. It's definitely not MSE but i can hardly wait and do it when we are debt free! It's a two part one so we get to go twice - first tme in 4 weeks
Not looking like we will achieve targets for September. I was hoping to get rid of OH's Egg card but we need to pay for a service for my car and tax for his. We might be a few hundred pounds shortThough we might be able to chip a little bit more away during the month depending upon what he gets paid. Suppose at least that is the last of the car stuff for a while - though then Christmas is just round the corner. it's never ending, isn't it?

DS is off to Germany tomorrow (6.15am at the school on a Sunday morning, eek!) so we are off to change some euros. The school suggested £70 spending money but I am sure knowing DS he will bring some back! Most of it is his own money anyway, bless him.
We also need to go and put the mortgage money in OH's old account. For some reason all of the DDs have been transferred to his new account apart from the mortgage. Shame there are no local branches and if you pay it in through the PO it can take over a week to register (we once got caught like that before when we went on holiday and paid some money in first expecting it to be there ready for the bills coming out)
Also taking my car to be serviced this morning. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it's not too expensive!
Two thirds of the way through the month and payday next Friday - great that we should see that debt total come down a little again. Probably can't update my totals properly though until I know how much all of the unknown expenses are.0 -
Hi chocoholic :hello:
(Always loved your name, btw!). Just had a proper look at your sig. Wow! Serious wow! Thats a  amount to have paid off in such a short time! Hope the euro search today goes well - and the baby search, awwww, but that 4d scan will be very, very precious in years to come, I'm not surprised you want to splurge on that when you've paid off so much of your debt.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

EDIT: suggest you don't read this as I am just wallowing in my own misery for no especial reason!
Service for car wasn't too bad. At least we had the money to cover it! Had a bit of a bad day for no reason though - feeling very emotional but quite unreasonably.
Had our lunch out and not only was I given a dirty cup, but the cup of tea was cold and horrible tasting (OH took it back and then got a new one which was hot and funny tasting), then the chips and peas with the lunch were only lukewarm at best.
Then went to Asda which was packed and at one point I really did think I would cry if one more person stood in my way.
Then my Dad just phoned, now we don't have the best of relationships to start with, mainly because he's not really interested in me or my family (you know, the sort of person who you can see isn't listening when you talk to him - just goes "uh,huh, uh,huh" then switches the conversation to themselves?) and he has done many things that shows he isn't bothered. Anyway, he phoned to say that my stepsister who I haven't seen for about 5 years is getting married next year (I haven't even met the man she's marrying) and they want DD to be bridesmaid (and DS, OH and I can come "if we want" - but not the baby).
Only trouble is, it's a Friday on a school day and kids will have to be off school. I know that's not a big deal but they are both proud of their attendance records (DS hasn't had a day off in 5 years and DD has had a half day each of the last 2 years and was desperately trying to get a year's full attendance so she can have her name on the school shield like DS).
I did say this to my Dad a few weeks ago but he just keeps saying "Well, this is more important"
Plus I am unreasonably irritated by the fact that the wedding date is my tenth wedding anniversary and we had talked about doing something but obviously won't be able to now.
I know I am being petty and unreasonable and it isn't a problem in the grand scheme of things but I just want to cry, in fact just typing it is starting the tears.0
