The money wasn't actually from Egg - it was from A+L. I only mentioned Egg as I access all my accounts through Egg money. I don't think Egg would ever *give* me money! (Though i did get £10 for adding accounts to egg money in the first place)

Argh! OH's pay hasn't gone into the bank and the gas, electric, council tax and water rates are due tomorrow (possibly Monday but often money does come out over the weekend!).

I asked him to call his work office and find out why his morning and he still hasn't!

Annoyingly he does have some money in the bank but it is £10 short of covering all DD's and it still leaves no money for groceries this weekend. I will be really cross iff the DD's get bounced and he gets charged! :mad:

Hmm if his company is at fault and DH gets charges I would be inclined to send his company a bill for the charges as it is their fault you have gone overdrawn!

I was thinking that too, but work says they don't know anything about it.

Wandered over to the Current account board though and someone there said A+L were having a problem and no transactions have been updated today. Apparently they are hpoing to have it updtaed by 5 o'clock but "no guarantees"

Quick update - the pay is now showing in the list of transactions but the available balance hasn't updated. Hopefully though we will be able to access the money tomorrow and the direct debits will now be paid! Phew!

Home alone again tonight. Kids at grandparents and OH working away. Been an up and down week at school and haven't slept very well for the last three nights so planning on vegging out on the sofa and doing nothing! Though will have to be up early tomorrow to get house shipshape for a new viewer coming to see it.

Good Luck with the new viewer... Hope work is ok. Had to laugh about the unexpected announcement in assembly. Same thing happened to me on my last day of a maternity cover. I'd been low key ie my kids knew i was going. Anyway, whole school and head gets 2 kids to present me with flowers and wine - very nice. But you know when the head speaks, kids usually listen more (cos they never see him lol) he starts going on about how sad we awill be...last day etc etc and half of ks1 started crying (i was ks2). Head doesnt do tears and couldnt cope it was soo funny (as well as embarrassing). Anyway I was called in on supply the very next day - "We thought you were leaving, Miss!" - sure they thought it was a con to get presents.

Cant believe it's 20 weeks already - you'll soon be off work! Dragon's right re. billing work if there are any charges. Enjoy the vegging...

Yay! The money is showing in the account. We don't have to starve this weekend (just as well as Mother Hubbard's cupboards have nothing on ours this week!)

Just cashed in some points on a survey site I have been trying. Cashed in 1000 points. Now apparently you get 5 cents per point which is then converted into pounds sterling so have no idea how much that is /will be but suppose I will find out when the cheque comes...in 6-8 weeks!

Been browsing on internet now since about 6.30 - think should definitely shower / get dressed / eat breakfast / clean house for viewer...but it's just so compelling here sometimes!
