Well, so much for my plans for a nice lie in to start my week off. Woke up dizzy and nauseaus(sp?) just before six this morning and had to get up as the room was spinning!! And no I wasn't drinking!
House is lovely and peaceful, kids still in bed, OH not in from work yet - expecting him home sometime this morning but not sure when.
Not sure what our plans are today, money saving or otherwise, I know OH has a cheque he's been carrying around for weeks for his car tax refund that we really need paying into the bank. Also DD has some High Street Vouchers from Christmas that she is desperate to spend...maybe we will do that! All depends on how tired OH is and how early he started work this morning.0 -
Sorry to read that the lie-in evaded you this morning. Hopefully tomorrow will be more sleep productive.
I hope you have a good weekend, whatever you all choose to do - the weather is a bit iffy round here but our kids are off to the pictures and chips off the market with their pocket money - a real treat for them as I think they go to the pictures about twice a year! They have been planning it all week so I hope the film lives up to its expectations!!
And get that cheque paid in - is doing you no good sitting in his walletSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

The bridge to Terabithia - apparently by the same people who did Narnia.
It is about the only film on at the moment which doesn't require an adult with them!!
Off to teach now - have a good day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Feeling quite sad today. Someone I used to be friends with as a teenager has been killed when his van exploded on the way to work. For all I haven't seen him for a lot of years I feel really terrible about it. Seems such a terrible thing to happen. Our local news is also saying his wife is currently expecting a baby.
Was already feeling a bit down but this has just made me feel really awful.0 -
Tiny bit early posting this month, one or two payments haven't quite been taken but they will be over the next few days and I needed a boost!
Here goes!
My Debts
Marbles Card: £3,956
Egg Card: £0 ( I could add a jumping for joy smilie here, but I won't as I know I need to add a LOT to it next month and clear it again! Fingers crossed it will then stay clear.)
OH's Debts
Egg Card: £1,726.96
Joint Debts
A+L loan: £ £1,406
Total £7088.96
Total reduced in April: £1,491.29
Total reduced since LB moment (August 2006) : £19,887.04
Total reduced since debt at highest (January 2006): £21,795.04
Target for end of May - £7500 - achieved!
Target for end of June - £65000 -
Hmmm...now where can I find £88.97 to get that total under £7000?0

Just read your last few posts, sorry about your old friend - these things hit us hard when they happen don't they. The "missing years" seem to dissappear and it only seems like yesterday...........
But, good news on the debt reduction - tell you what, I will add £88 to my egg card, and you can take it off one of yours? What do you think?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. He he! Good plan. And if 100 more people will do the same thing, i could be debt free!0

ok, own up, who has stolen my motivation? I do not have the get up and go to do anything his week!
Today I have read The Time Traveller's Wife, watched Loose Women, had a little snooze on the sofa... none of these things are normally things I would do during the day. Have I done the towering pile of ironing that is threatening to spill all over my kitchen? No! Have I ebayed the things sitting in the bottom of my wardrobe? No! Have I done any cleaning whatsover other than a quick flick over the worktops? No! Have I done any planning wahtsoever for work next week? No, I have not!
Somebody please come along and give me a stern talking to...or failing that a kick up the bum!0
