Um, I think I probably was dribbling. What's worse, in the waiting room I was talking to a parent from school. Then I went in the dentist's room, had the injection and they sent me back to the waiting room, where she carried on talking while I lost all use of my mouth and tongue. She was too polite to say anything though!0 -
Obviously a bit over excited as I clicked Submit before I was finished.
So, halfway through the month already!
Nothing much to report, but maybe that is good as it means no spending excesses to confess. I did buy four (four!!) new tops for work as was starting feel a bit shabby but got them all BNWT from ebay and cost less than £20 for all four including postage. Had a bit of a smile today when a colleague (who is very keen on appearances and tells us all about her house, car, holidays, evening dresses for various balls (completely different world to me!!) ) said twice how lovely my top was today. I wonder what she would have said if I confessed it cost all of £3.20?
Been paying the odd few pounds here and thre off OH's Egg card this month too. Will see how much difference that makes at end of month. He has had £100 more pay than I budget for the last two weeks, which is great, except for the fact that his car has broken down...again!!! Definitely made a bad decision in that one. Daren't pay too much of the extra money off debts in case we need it.
Been very good at eating more fruit and veg, well ok, fruit mainly. Quite good with more water, not so good at increasing the amount of walking I do. It doesn't seem as appealing in the incessant rain.
Ooh, and checked on Quidco this morning - have £53 ready to pay out. I'm also expecting £26 anyday from cashback rewards - all will come in very handy, I'm sure.0 -
Sounds as though you are well on top of things. With a bit of careful planning, I am hoping to have my egg card (the smallest of all our debts, but one of my most annoying) paid off within the next few weeks. Then I will snowball it onto hubby's egg card and hope that I can clear that one by the end of the year. We both still have egg loans so will not be free of that bunch of ******** (insert appropriate word) for some time yet.
Good news about the ebay clothes. Isn't it fab when you look a million dollars, but have only paid ebay prices?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Having a bad day for no apparent reason today. The sun is shining, the kids are out at a party so they're not annoying me, I got a square of chocolate and a £5 voucher in the post today, got the weekly shop for £50, got no jobs to do and OH is being really nice but I am as cranky as a bag of cats!!
Can only think it is PMT kicking in, which makes me even more cross as means no babies for another month.
Anyway, off to kick the dog (not really, don't have one) and break a few plates, don't want to upset anyone here...0 -
Sorry to read that you are having a bad day. Go and make the most of the kids being away, and go and have a soak in the bath in peace, armed with a glass of wine or something.
Get a good night's sleep and tomorrow will be a better day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Still not having the greatest of weeks! Have managed to upset two people at work, sort of accidentally, but really by letting my feelings show when I shouldn't. To be honest it's been a long time coming as neither really pull their weight but have always kept quiet. One seems to have blown over and she's ok with me, not sure sure how the other will react today...not really looking forward to work
What else? Not a lot really, woke up feeling dizzy just before 5 so got up and had a cup of tea. Feeling a lot better now but got a very busy day coming up, will be glad when it's six o'clock tonight! Even better six o'clock tomorrow when I have a week off. (Would get told off from OH about that...wishing my life away!!)
And it's getting close to the end of the month - desperate to update my snowball but can't till payments come out. June is going to be a bit of a standstill month I think - got final installment of our trip away to pay, plus I owed DS £180 on the basis that I would give it back when a Wii was available - well I finally found one at Argos so that has gone on the bloomin' Egg card as well so I will be paying Egg off this month but adding straight back to it next month  Never mind, think might be able to pay it off again(!) end of June, therefore paying no interest. Here's hoping!
Oh well, suppose had better go get ready for work...0 -
Hey choco, don't worry about work - if either of those two have an attitude today, it is their problem, not yours! Hugs coming your way!
Your egg card sounds just like mine, paid one minute, used the next!! Oh well, at least we are making steps in the right direction.
Hang on in there, it will soon be your week off xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi chocoholic
Haven't posted on your thread before, but really sympathise with what you wrote the other day about feeling bad and not knowing why... that happens to me toochocolate making me feel better also happens
. Dizziness sounds bad tho, hope you're okay. Im looking at your sig too, how rapid that is with such a big amount.
Take care.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks to you both. That's what i love about this board, other people genuinely seem to care!
Well, there was a slight tenseness at work today but no out and out nastiness.
Has been a fab day though, lots of fun, one of those days when I love doing what I do. Am absolutely shattered though. It's been a bit frantic and busy and I can almost feel my eyelids dropping as I type!0
