Tom has actually just had 30 minutes awake during which DD and I read him the book we read him in utero and I swear his eyes moved as we changed between our voices! Then we got him ready for bed, fed him and he's gone off to sleep again.
oh dear - why has reading this made me well up!!
Don't forget that as Tom grows out of stuff/you don't need things people bought you, ebay them, get the paypal money and then you can get some cheap clothes from ebay for yourself - proper bargains - and then you can sell them on when back to pre-preg size.
I found that being in the same awful clothes got me down!!

I phoned and let them know I was on maternity leave and he said something about the first £100 of maternity pay is not counted. They mucked up years ago when I was at Uni though and I owe them around £4000 (even though i kept querying was I getting too much) so I don't actually receive anything anyway and as we get £500 year from them I will be paying them back for the next 8 years anyway
Still...we will get an extra £12 a week child benefit!0 -

That's true. I do actually have some ebay stuff to list...when I get round to it! And I can ebay my maternity clothes...at least the ones I haven't worn to death!0 -

That's what we're hoping. It seems to be almost too good to be true that we could have £120 towards that sort of thing without any effort. Must take time to find out how much it costs to go to these places in the first place (and how the deals work!)0 -
Well, my Boots order arrived...in a fashion.
It arrived in three boxes when i was told two. Two boxes were fine and contained the stuff I'd ordered. The third contained a repeat of some of the stuff I ordered - 2 more photo albums, 3 more wrapping papers, 4 more baby wipes, 4 more shower gels, plus 2 packs of kandoo wipes that I didn't order and 2 Boots baby bath bottles that I didn't order - neither of which were on the invoice!
I need to return the photo albums anyway as I got the wrong size so need a trip to Boots now to sort it all out!0 -

Just received a gas statement and we're £55 in credit again. Not as good as the £100 or so we were in credit last time but then I've been home with the heating on for the last three months. Have arranged to have the money credited back to our bank account - should help slightly over the next few weeks.
Payday today! Have sent OH off with a list of jobs - cheques to be paid in here, there and everywhere, library books to take back, my prescription to collect and the Boots order to sort out. Should keep him out of mischief for a while - just hoping he doesn't mix it all up - he doesn't like sorting out finances!
Last day of month also means I can update our savings...off to do that now.0 -
